Whether you're here for work, fishing, birdwatching, or just to unwind, our home offers the perfect blend of relaxation and convenience.

Inside, you’ll find a clean and spacious open floor plan with three cozy bedrooms and an impressive 14 queen beds, ideal for large groups, teams, or families. With two full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen, you’ll have everything you need to feel right at home.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please male sure to pull trash can to street or pull an empty can from street upon arrival. Trash is picked up on Friday.
Unfortunately, due to past guest violating house rules we will no longer have pets allowed at our home.
Please set AC to 75.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please discard cigarettes in a safe manner and dispose in trash. Again no smoking in the home
NO FRYING OF ANY KIND INSIDE THE HOME.
NO CHARCOAL BBQ UPSTAIRS.

Great hunt/fishing camp and as-advertised overlooking the Mermentau River with 14 queen beds. Our Univ of Louisiana civil engineering group used it as base camp for our community service event. Host was available to communicate and address any questions.

Wonderful weekend! Plenty of room for a large group and a beautiful view of the river.

This is a quiet, private, and well cared for lodge. One feels at home here. Location is just miles from the Rockefeller Refuge and Rutherford Beach. We will return.

Awesome get away!

Quiet, relaxing and comfortable place to enjoy being remote and away from the hustle and bustle. Coffee on the back porch watching the sunrise and the dolphins in the river was my favorite.

Perfect weekend getaway.

Absolutely the most relaxing place to stay! Beautiful lodge with sunrises and sunsets from the front porch! Very clean with plenty of space for everyone. The whole family felt like we were at home. Our host Richard was super nice and responded quickly. Highway recommend!

The Best Camp in LA

We had a great time. Very clean all the rooms have plenty of room. Beautiful view and kind of secluded area. Owner communicated immediately, answered any questions we had, and would check on us making sure we didn’t need anything. Would definitely stay there again.

Everything about our stay was amazing. Richard, the owner, was in constant communication with me. Everything was clean, well maintained, and ready for us. We had a wonderful week!! The house has everything we needed and it’s situated on the banks of the Mermentau River. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises!! Richard is probably the nicest host I’ve encountered. He checked in to make sure we were comfortable and gave us tips on places to crab and fish! Perfect stay!!

Crabbing Trip

Remote and quiet. Police patrol regularly. Beautiful home with everything needed and plenty of room. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely be back again. There are good fishing spots within a 15 minute drive. Very good communication with the owner. He made us feel very welcome on a personal level like we were family and not like a business deal.

Everything about the stay was great. The instructions and communication prior to arrival with Richard were complete and clear. The property was clean, stocked with all necessities needed to enjoy the weekend. The location is perfect for local crabbing, fishing and offers the perfect spot for getting away with friends and family to unwind. We've stayed multiple times at Richard's place and are always amazed at how beautiful the sunrises and sunsets are along with the perfect hospitality that Richard offers. Watch out for neighbor

We were excited to go until we got there and realized we are not allowed warf access. The main reason we rented. First the AC was not working had to change the batteries on the thermostats. Also none of the electrical sockets in the bedrooms or porch work. Overall we had a blast. Richard was very nice and constantly checked on us. A week after we stayed I received a very upsetting from him due to the neighbors seeing us on the warf. Won’t be staying again will take our family elsewhere.
