Spacious Home Off Lake St Clair On Harsens Island

Our home has original island charm with modern upgrades to make for a perfect get-a-way on the South Channel. The sunroom is perfect for bird watching, to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and watch the kids swimming in the cannel access. There are (2) dining tables with seating for 12, and plenty of lounging space in the family room. The fenced in yard and 'hang out' room off the garage provides enough space for everyone to enjoy. There is a 26' boat slip available [with additional available], and the ability to accommodate up to 60' boats. A fishing boat is available for rent.
This home features a whole house water filter system, completely stocked kitchen, wifi, cable tv, (2) kayaks, life jackets, parking for 4 vehicles, fenced in yard for your pet, (min 1 crate trained pet) bonfire pit, water toys, and more. There is a ferry to get to the island that costs 15.00.

Wedding on Harsen’s Island

This was a perfect place to stay for a family wedding on the island. It was quiet and set on the water where we could relax watching the boats. It has plenty of room and I would stay here again.

2025 Fishing Trip

This was our second time staying here. Great location for fishing. We targeted Walleye and Perch and did well on both. We caught fish in the river and the lake. Great time.

I hosted a bachelorette party with 10 people here and it was amazing! The house is much larger than it looks and has lots of yard space plus it’s on the water! Everything was very clean and the kitchen is fully stocked. The owners made sure we had everything we needed and were a big help. I would recommend this place to everyone!!

Had a fantastic stay. We had a group of 8 adults. House was clean and very well stocked. Brought our boat and really enjoyed our time there. Very nice having boat accessible right out the back door, convenient and also protected. Owners went above and beyond to make our stay great including taking food out of the oven when we were going to be late getting back. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Perfect setup, exactly as described

House is spacious, well maintained and in good condition. Location is very nice, close to Muskamoot Bay, plenty of space for docking of boats and large yard for outdoor activities. Channel protects boats from rough waters. Property manager was quick to respond to any questions. Would rent again.

Summer Time with friends

The view and home are amazing, you can see boats going by and freighters night and day. 10 of us stayed and we had plenty of room, beds are very comfortable and place is clean, stocked with everything you need. We had two 28 foot boats docked with us to hit the lake with, canal is deep and protected. The owners were so nice and helpful. We are going back next summer.

Harsens Island Gem

Great place to bring family and friends. The owners are great and want to really make this and the marina next door a destination for all. Bring your boat or rent one from Middle Channel Marina and explore Lake St Clair and come back to the house for lunch. You can tie the boat up right out front. We will be renting again and letting all we know to take a little vacation to Harsens Island and make sure they book their stay at this place. You will not be disappointed! Erin Hill

We have lived on the island for over 21 years, and have raised 3 children on this beautiful Island, My husband Tom is true outdoorsman. If hunting & fishing is your thing – he’s your guy. We are so excited to offer our guests this unique opportunity to experience Harsens island and create memories that will last a life time.

Why they chose this property

Seaway House is super unique and we are so excited to share it with the vacationing community. It is located a peninsula [a true stone’s throw] off the South Channel with direct access within 100’, and is about ¼ mile south of the Shipping Channel. There is a clear view where the South Channel feeds into the Shipping Channel. For those unfamiliar with the geography of Lake St Clair, the South Channel connects the Lake St Clair to the Shipping Channel, then to the St Clair River, which eventually leads to Lake Huron up in Port Huron. While the home is not directly on the Shipping Channel, there are still excellent views of the freighters heading North & South thru the Shipping Channel.
There is a free flowing canal directly in front of our house, and about 35 yards to the west you are in the South Channel. Swimming is perfectly acceptable either in the canal, or out in the channel. The house is fully furnished and has a fenced in yard for your furry friend and to help keep an eye on the kids. If you come by boat, you can keep it in the boat slip conveniently located in front of the house. There are also additional slips available if you have more than one boat. Spend your mornings watching the sunrise and freighters pass or your evenings watching the beautiful sunsets (bug free) in our four season room.
With 2600s.f. of living space, there is PLENTY of room for a party of 12. There is a lower BR w/a Queen bed. One BR upstairs w/Queen bed. One BR upstairs w/King bed. The largest bedroom has a Queen Bed, and (2) Double beds .
Seaway House is adjacent to a full service marina with a clubhouse [and guest rooms] suitable to host weddings and weekend stays for the wedding party. Our house can be a compliment to an event @ the ‘clubhouse’, and more than holds its own as a stand-alone vacation home.

Our house is within the best renowned duck hunting habitat, and if this interests you, we can help you navigate the experience. In addition, there is deer hunting available, and some of the best fresh water fishing on Lake St Clair.
We have a fishing pontoon boat and one day’s use is included with a week rental, and additional days available with notice.
The natural beauty of the island makes for a great bicycle ride, and on any given weekend in the summer it is not unusual to find dozens of bike groups exploring the island.
We have (2) kayaks and we suggest you bring your own lifejackets but we have some just in case. There are ½ hour, beginner trips that just about anyone can navigate, and for more experienced kayakers, you could spend hours exploring the island and the surrounding waters.
