A life entirely on foot

Here, the car stays in the garage. Maybe that's what makes the stay so special: everything is done on foot, starting with this evening walk along the beach and the dunes, when the North Sea slowly recedes and discovers, between the sandbanks, these small "basins" of water where the sunset is reflected. A simple ritual, but one that alone justifies the trip.

There is something unspoiled about this corner of the Belgian coast: vast expanses of wild dunes, the immediate proximity of the Westhoek Nature Park, a light so special that it has inspired painters, the freshness of the iodine that rises with each tide, and the continuous sound of the waves, as a backdrop to each day. People come here to slow down, breathe, and rediscover the pleasure of simple things.

The villa is nestled in the hollow of a small alley in the historic district, one of those peaceful and tree-lined streets where time seems to slow down, far from the hustle and bustle of the seawall. A true haven of tranquility, and yet a stone's throw from everything: barely 300 metres from the shops and less than 500 metres from the beach. In a few minutes on foot, you go from the absolute calm of the alley to the fine sand, or to a terrace for a coffee or fresh fries. Particular attention has been paid to the interior atmosphere: soft tones, warm materials, a hushed and soothing universe, with corners designed for reading or a moment of calm by the wood stove.
