We had a great stay, the cabin was clean and the propert was gorgeous . We came from the lower peninsula and stopped at waterfalls in munising , the cabin was a perfect middle point form there to Marquette where we spent our second day! Would definitely Recommend and stay again!
Wow, what can we say beyond “perfect”?! This place is magical; super tidy and comfortable accommodations with incredibly peaceful surroundings. Easy access to Ishpeming and Marquette for restaurants and shopping. Such a friendly and gracious host (including Addie!) made it a perfect place to relax. Thanks again for sharing your special place with us!
Overall an excellent stay. Neighborhood is peaceful and comfortable. House was a bit on the smaller side, but still big enough for myself, wife, 6-month old son, and two dogs over 60 pounds. Amenities are fantastic. Terry and Susan are very attentive and friendly. Will be back next year!
The “cabin” is part of a 4 unit building that is on the same property as the owner’s home. We were on the end unit. It had a queen bed and a couch big enough for someone to sleep on it in a sleeping bag. The gazebo and beautiful amenities are shared by all the units and the owners. Everything was very clean and the owners were kind and responsive to requests.
We enjoyed our stay at the Red Pine Resort. So much so that we wished we had another day in our stay. Communication with Terry was easy, as he is always near the property and can address any questions immediately. Would definitely stay here again.
What a great place to stay. The views are amazing. The host are great, easy to talk to, overall just great down to earth people.
The rooms are very nice. They're done right with everything you might need down to a hair dryer and coffee pot.
Couldnt ask for a better place..
It was great staying right on the lake for such a reasonable price. The place was small but the backyard on the lake more than made up for it. It was super convenient that they had paddle boards and kayaks available to use. Everyone was really friendly. It was a bit out of town but I wanted a country environment so this was perfect.
Only drawback was we thought this was a stand-alone cabin. It’s part of a 4 unit attached motel that’s got a nicely appointed set up with a grill to use, common areas, boats to use, nice lake. We’d stay here again!
We found every thing as listed. Enjoyable out of the way location without all the everyday bustle. Owner was right there to help when we had a problem with the grill. Also a nice guy to talk to.
The place was amazing! It was clean and cozy. The lake front view was beautiful. The deck, and the covered deck was phenomenal! There was also access to the boathouse and fishing. Yoy cant go wrong with this place. I also met the owner, super guy!!
It was really nice. Loved the journal of the other people who have stayed in the cabin. The stove was not what I expected. A lot smaller. We loved the dock and the seats outside. It was so beautiful on the water. We wished we could have stayed longer. Simply amazing. 😀
Terry was amazing! I sent an email shortly before our vacation and he promptly called me and answered all my questions. He had great knowledge of the area and which trails would be best. He went out of his way to show us a short cut to the trail head and even rescued us when we were stuck. His hospitality while we stayed there has been un-matched anywhere else. I highly recommend Terry and his VRBO!
I booked a late season trip to visit the "Yoopers" with my wife for our anniversary. I knew it was late in season ut expected there to be plenty to see. The road trip was great and this resort location was perfect!
We appreciated the "tour" Mr Patrick gave us and the personal attention was unmatched.
Thank you again, Terry, this was a great trip!
Came up for a couple days to fish and have some R&R. The property was beyond pristine. Exceptionally clean. Dock area good to fish from for 1 person. Not sure how it works inpeak season though. The owner was great. Good conversation and fishing tips. One drawback though is that Ishpeming is 11 miles away and doesn't really offer much. All highways are unlit. For what I came for it was fine
Perfect little getaway from all the hustle and bustle of the fast paced city life. Terry was great and extremely accommodating and VERY responsive to anything that was needed. We so appreciated our time there & would book again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Retreat! Great location, nice accommodations, and very friendly, responsive hosts. Will be sure to stay here again if we’re back in U.P.!
Probably the best endorsement I can give is that we would stay at Red Pines Resort again. Everything was as good or better than advertised, especially the outside and lake amenities. Location is very convenient to many recreation opportunities but far enough out to be relaxing. One of our best VRBO experiences.
My husband and I spent a long weekend in the cottage, and we loved it so much that we’re planning to bring our adult children and grandchildren next summer! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, the lake is absolutely beautiful and the owner, Terry, was friendly and helpful! We’re making our reservations for next year now!
