Welcome Aboard! “The Boathouse” is a beautiful, waterfront cottage on Mona Lake. The 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage is updated and modern, with the feeling of being on a large yacht. Nautically inspired design, and yachtsman like touches, will inspire you to take the helm, drop anchor and enjoy a vacation like no other. On the shores edge there is a deck so close to the water you will swear you are riding on the aft of your personal yacht. The hot tub is available year round, relax in the warm water and enjoy the beautiful view. Winter is a great time to visit, Muskegon’s winter sports complex is a short drive. Enjoy X-Country skiing, or try your skills on the luge, then come back, jump in the spa and relax. Celebrate the sunrise and the sunset on our 2021 Bennington pontoon, included in your stay, (pontoon is only available June 1st through October 25th) the perfect way to let all the landlubber worries fade away. The “Boathouse” has 4 bedrooms, 1 on the main level and 3 upstairs. Two of the upstairs quarters have balconies to relax and take in the lake breezes. There’s also a “head” on each floor with stand up showers, bath and hand towels are provided. The galley has all of your cooking and dining essentials to make delicious meals for your crew. Gather around the butcher block island to share fish stories or sit around our lakeside fire pit and reminisce about your memories of the past. We invite you to “set sail” on a vacation destination like no other, area attractions include Michigan’s Adventure theme park, world class beaches, beautiful Lake Michigan, gourmet restaurants, historic submarine, light houses, musical fountains, zip lines, and ice luges all await. Local noise ordinance must be followed and is strictly enforced. Quite hours are 11pm to 7am.

This cottage was sparkling clean and comfortably furnished. Owners were available at all hours to answer our questions and help us troubleshoot the hot tub temp. We definitely look forward to coming back again!

Very clean rental, fully stocked kitchen. Property manager was helpful and quick to respond. Location on the lake was nice but surrounding area was less than desirable. Driving distance to Muskegon and St Joseph’s for a nice day trip. Pontoon boat rental was great! House fit two families comfortably.

Great weekend getaway

Perfect place for a family weekend. Home is extremely clean, kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. The view is great and being able to enjoy cruising on the pontoon was terrific.

Perfect family get-away

Loved our stay. Owners were very accommodating, house was perfect for teenagers and older family members who needed a main floor bedroom. House had all we needed to cook in, and location is great for going out. Pontoon was perfect for fun and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Great place for family trip!

Property was exactly as pictured. Perfect spot for a family getaway woth our friends and family from Cjicago. Two families with 4 kids and the place was perfect. Good location on the lake and close to any stores (Meijer, sbux, etc). Very nice boat was a nice benefit also!

Nice house right on the lake

Had a great vacation with a house right on Mona Lake. Loved having access to the pontoon anytime we wanted. Short drive to get groceries or go out to eat.

Mona Lake Cottage

Really enjoyed our 2 week stay in Pure Michigan. The cottage was just as described and fit our family perfectly. I must say having access to a pontoon sealed the deal on this VRBO. Thank you and hope to see you next year.

Lovely last minute getaway

We came up for a long weekend getaway during the Fall and it was simply perfect. From extremely prompt and helpful responses throughout the process by property manager Kim as we planned a last minute getaway to the home having all the small details that make your stay more enjoyable to the extra bonus of having a pontoon boat on a gorgeous lake. Definitely be back!

Long weekend in Muskegon

Lake House Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed being on Mona Lake at Norton Shores and the amenities included with the house....Pontoon Boat, Kayaks and Hot Tub.. Also enjoyed watching the family of eagles from across the lake.

Relaxing Getaway

We had such an amazing stay! The house was very clean, views were beautiful, and the hot tub and boat were great for our family. Having the boat on the property really made our trip. The hot tub is drained and refilled up before each guest arrives which is extremely nice. This was easily my family’s favorite vacation home we have booked. The hosts were also very responsive!

Beautiful Beach House!

Very clean and stocked with everything you need. Hot tub was great especially after a day of X-country skiing. Beds were comfortable and more than enough room for all. Can't wait to book for a summer getaway!

Lovely beach themed cottage near Grand Haven

The Beach House on Mona Lake was a perfect spot for our family vacation! It was newly remodeled and decorated with a lovely beach vibe. The brand new included pontoon boat was a fantastic bonus as were the Kayaks, fire pit, hot tub and lovely outdoor area. The lake was easy to navigate and not overly crowded.
