About this property

Farmhouse of character and charm

Charm and character are typical of the spacious house in typical Simmental timber-stalk. The farmhouse built in 1883, situated in a beautiful, quiet and sunny location.
It is partly renovated, is heated primarily with wood. These are two ovens (connected to stoves for the lower two rooms) as well as a wood stove on the first floor available in the kitchen. There are in the house, a renovated bathroom with electric heating.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has been 2013 renovated.
The house has two typical for this area arbors. Thus, it is possible to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner to taste in the shade or in the sun on the arbor.
In summer there is a pool available. However, the use of which the weather can not be guaranteed 100%!
The ideal house to come to rest and even to relax.
It is cozy and functional.
For smaller groups or one to two families (6-8 persons / max. 10 people), this house with 5 bedrooms, 1 living room and large kitchen (total 200m² of living space) enough space.
Windows are only partially new. In the bedrooms are still old windows installed (simple glazing). The house has a TV with DVD and VCR but no TV connection and also no internet!
The house is the ideal base in the Bernese Oberland, to explore the Alps.
It is the ideal starting point for excursions by car or train to Berne, Thun, Interlaken, Gstaad, Gruyere etc. to undertake.
The area is ideal for pass tours by motorbike, hiking, kayaking and paragliding.
Above the village is the paragliding launch site "Nässli", from where also longer flights are possible.
Legendary is the entry for kayakers in "Heidenweidli" no 5 min. away by car.
On foot you can reach in 1-1 ½ hours. Purring hole. An ideal excursion for the whole family.
The house is located on the Simmental House Trail - a network of hiking trails to historic wooden houses from Wimmis to Lenk. Good for stopping here and there and even bike rides. Countless trips by car are possible. We are happy to provide tips for things to do.
The house can be used with the entire inventory. 1000m² garden, portable grill, deckchairs, etc.
You are when staying alone in the house, the necessary details you will receive in writing by us in advance. If you have questions you can contact us by telephone. Emergency addresses exist.

Sehr gemütliches und uriges Haus

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vor allem die sehr gute Ausstattung lässt einen wie zu hause fühlen und der Pool war optimal für die Kinder. Wir können das Haus wärmstens für einen Familienurlaub empfehlen in einer wunderschönen Gegend!

Schönes altes Bauernhaus

Es handelt sich um ein sehr schönes Objekt, in dem man mit 8-10 Personen gut urlauben kann. Die Reservierung und die Organisation des Aufenthaltes hat hervorragend funktioniert. Das Ferienhaus enthält alle Dinge für einen gelungenen Urlaub, wie Geschirr, Bettwäsche, einen Grill, einen sehr schönen Garten zum Toben. Das Haus ist bereits über 100 Jahre alt und aus Holz erbaut. Dadurch knarrzt es gern und ist relativ hellhörig. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir können das Haus gern weiter empfehlen.

Geniet van de rust in de Alpen ( zonder Wifi)

We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad van 14 dagen met 10 personen. Een vakantiehuisje met alles er op en er aan. Gelukkig geen WIFI ( houden zo). wat een rust geeft dat. Zwembad naast de deur en elke avond een kampvuur. Fijn dat er ook een wasmachine beschikbaar is. Het weer was echt goed en we hebben mooie tochten kunnen maken vanuit het huisje( de grotten), maar ook verder richting Spiez, Lenk en Grindelwald. Dit huisje is echt een aanrader voor wie van rust houdt. Het gekraak van de houten vloeren boven je is wel even wennen, maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. Ik zou zeggen, boeken voordat het huisje weg is. Het contact met de eigenaar was ook heel plezierig. In het Duits of in het Engels hebben we kunnen communiceren en niets was te veel. Wunderschön!

Wir hatten als sechs Erwachsene mit 5 Kindern eine tolle Zeit im Simmental. Beginnend bei der Anmietung bis zur persönlichen Schlüsselübergabe am Ende lief alles total freundlich und unkompliziert ab. Das Haus ist in sehr gutem Zustand und mit viel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Betten, Geschirr, etc. ist alles sauber und ordentlich, so dass man sich direkt wohl fühlt. Als Ausflugstipp ist die Wanderung zu den Höhlen und der Hängebrücke sehr zu empfehlen. Familie Martinet & Freunde
