Nice property unfortunately spoilt by poor upkeep

Unfortunately our week was heavily disrupted by broken air conditioning resulting in flooding, broken fans and a gradual breakdown in communication with the hosts. The hob was also broken and could be completely dislodged from the worktop and the kitchen relatively poorly equipped. Of the 7 night stay, the air conditioning was only working on 2 nights and we had our time at property disrupted on all but one day from various “engineers” and inspectors. One such visit was from a friend of the hosts and his daughter as they thought they could fix the air conditioning. Their attempt failed and it all felt rather inappropriate. Flooding became hazardous particularly for my wife who is pregnant as the tiled floors were slippery. We tried hard to resolve issues directly with the hosts (which took time away from enjoying our holiday) but found they withdrew and became more hostile as the week went on. Our final face to face encounter with them was particularly unpleasant and now I am taking up a complaint with Vrbo directly due to the breakdown in communication with the hosts. So to summarise, the property itself is nice and has the potential to be great but poor upkeep and difficult hosts really detracted from the holiday experience, which was a shame.

Paradis au Luberon

Excellent hébergement. Très agréable maison dans un environnement très calme et une région absolument magnifique. Chaleureux accueil par les propriétaires que nous remercions pour leur amabilité et leur disponibilité. Location à recommander !
