Such a cute place. We really enjoyed the open areas and having somewhere to meet. Some of the rooms did feel a little dirty, especially the bathrooms. A few people complained that the tubs would fill as they showered, so you may want to check the drains. Although we love the vintage charm, some updates could be made to make things a little nicer. Better windows with working locks and things like that. Overall we really loved the hotel. Enjoyed the extras like the hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, etc.
The Monkey Tree was the perfect oasis for me, my family, and our extended group of friends. We did the buyout and so had the place to ourselves, with places to gather in the sun or the shade, a good bbq and multiple kitchens. The common indoor area also got a lot of use by our group, which ranged in age from 4 to 78. Definitely loved it, recommend it, and hope to stay at it again in the future.
Our team had a fantastic stay at the Monkey Tree. It was a perfect place for a team building offsite with plenty of space to be together and separate. The photo booth and pool provided plenty of time for play!
We had a staff retreat and much deserved down time. The property had great amenities and was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet but close enough to bars and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay at the Monkey Tree hotel. It is the perfect venue for a company of our size - the rooms were wonderful, access to the kitchen, the pool and spa amenities, etc. were great! Will definitely look to book here again for future events.
The photos and listing didn’t prepare me for just how amazing the Monkey Tree would be. The mid-century stylings, the lovely pool and amenities, and the sheer size of the place meant my big friend group had an amazing weekend in Palm Springs. We wholeheartedly recommend it for a big fun weekend with friends or family
Our group of 22 had a wonderful stay at the Monkey Tree Hotel. The rooms were all very clean and the property was well kept. The local team from AvantStay, especially Kristin and Elisa, went above and beyond helping us arrange catering and entertainment in advance and keeping in touch throughout our stay.
Everything was wonderful about Monkey Tree. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some rooms are showing their wear, but it was altogether charming and quaint. Any problems we had were immediately solved by the management team. We are already planning our return.
We just returned from an epic 3 days at this place. Our group did the whole hotel buyout and everyone in all 16 rooms had a great time. It was really nice having the whole place to ourselves, great facilities to prep and cook large meals, plenty of room in the pool, lots of lounges/umbrellas, etc. Highly recommend for a large group.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Monkey Tree this past weekend. Being a large group of 26 people, lodging options were limited, but we're so happy we rented out this whole property. The rooms and beds were spacious (even for the few grown adult men who had to share), the pool was perfect, and the mid century aesthetic was the cherry on top. It does get quite windy at times, but luckily that was mainly in the mornings before we were trying to make the most out of the beautiful amenities. The staff was attentive and responsive to any questions we had. Only note, there is a speaker by the pool to play music from, which we were told was not available. All in all, we had a blast. And every single one of the guests said they would stay here again.
I had a group here for a work offsite / buyout. Check-in was smooth, rooms were clean, venue is peaceful. Overall it was a decent stay and I'd bring a group back here.
Some of the property is a little outdated and the gas range and hot tub heater broke before our stay. The hot tub was promptly fixed, but the gas range was left on all night by staff so the main living area smelled intensely of gas the next morning. Staff was quick to respond and resolve the issue! Some of the items in the listing weren't accurate, but we were able to adjust. No pictures of the kitchen set up, which would've been super helpful to see what all is onsite (industrial kitchen)!
The only negative part of our stay was that the cleaners arrived before our check-out time and threw away all my supplies and we had difficulty communicating to get them back due to a language barrier. Food, drink, office supplies, receipts, bluetooth speaker, new sunscreens, etc. I was able to eventually get most of my items back, but walked away missing 4 bottles of sunscreen and my bluetooth speaker. I recommended they check in with guests in the future before cleaning out their items/assuming they're checked out.
