Maison de Village, Chaleureuse et Confortable, Lacs de Haute Charente

A welcoming and warm house, in which you will feel at home. You will enjoy the charm of a village house from the 30s, with the comfort of very recent fittings (including bedding and bathrooms, which are only two years old).

In a very lively village (with a supermarket, a bakery, a pharmacy, an association bar and a restaurant) in the heart of the lakes of the Haute Charente, you can fish, walk or swim.
But you can also relax in the garden, in the sun on the deckchairs or in the shade of the trees...

The house is accessed via an external staircase of five steps.

GROUND FLOOR:
- a living room: with a kitchen/dining area (with wood burner, oven, induction hob and dishwasher) and a sitting area (with fireplace).
- bedroom 1 (double bed)
- bathroom 1 (shower + WC)
- office. This desk (bench + desk + desk chair) has a French window through which you access the garden (three steps down to go into the garden).
ABOUT WIFI: The house does not have wifi but the 4G network is of excellent quality, so the connection sharing allows you to work and watch films without any problem. I myself stay there very frequently to work (regularly downloading files up to 1 GB).

UPSTAIRS:
(The ground floor is accessed by a charming but rather steep staircase.)
- bedroom 2 (double bed).
- bedroom 3 (a single bed + a single sofa bed that converts into a double bed)
- bathroom 2 (shower + toilet)

The house also has a basement with a large pantry.

In front of the house is a small piece of land with many rose bushes. Most of the garden is behind the house, out of sight. At the very bottom of the garden, two large trees allow you to rest in the cool.
Outside are available to guests: a large wooden garden table with chairs, a second tin table with these four chairs, a parasol (but the house is oriented so that the outdoor dining area is completely shaded until 3 p.m. in summer), a barbecue and several sun loungers.

A SEE TO DO

The village of Massignac is in the heart of the lakes of Haute Charente. The first lake is within walking distance of the house. The second lake (which has several swimming spots with beaches and a water sports centre) is 6 kilometres away. PGJyPg�PGJyPgThe charming town of La Rochefoucauld, with its castle to visit, is 25 minutes away by car.
The castle of Rochechouart (contemporary art centre) is 25 minutes away by car.
Angoulême (city of comic strips) is 40 minutes away by car.
Maria Casares' house (with show in summer) is 35 minutes away by car.

And, of course, many walks to do on foot in this beautiful unspoilt countryside and a magnificent starry sky to contemplate during the summer nights...
