This was the perfect stay for a couple of days while exploring the area. The house was incredibly comfortable. We did not have a large party but this home would be very comfortable for multiple families with children. Very quiet neighborhood and convenient location.

Everything was perfect. The location is amazing! Close to lots of little towns with shopping and lots to do. The quick and ease of communication was great. Quick replies no matter what time.

My sister and I wanted to spend a weekend in the mountains celebrating our mom's 60th birthday. There was plenty of room for both our families and our mom and the neighborhood was quiet and private. Checked all our boxes.

Our family of 9 celebrated Thanksgiving at The Nut House and had a great time. The home is spacious with living areas on both the bottom and 2nd floor for "private space" when needed with this big group. The hot tub was awesome and the location was convenient to everything!

We love the Seven Devils area - centrally located to everything we wanted to do (Boone, Linville Falls, Grandfather, Banner Elk, etc.). Great little house with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and bunk beds. Loved the jacuzzi as well. Highly recommend this place.

We enjoy the Seven Devils area each time we come and love going tubing at Hawksnest. This cabin was the perfect location and there was plenty of room for the 10 people in my family that came. The cabin was very clean and offered everything we needed. We would stay at this cabin again.

The three levels of living space were perfect for us and two families of grandchildren. The toddlers loved the enclosed back porch and swing. We didn’t explore the nearby creek because it looked like a steep climb back to the house. The car ride to the neighborhood was very steep and curvy, but once you were down the mountain everything was a fairly short drive. The grandkids definitely want to return!

This home was PERFECT for our family to enjoy a weekend in the mountains. There was plenty of space for us all, 6 adults and 4 children. We loved the layout and hot tub outside. My mom is very picky about cleanliness and she was very happy with this home! It was perfect and the communication with the rental property was amazing. Everything from start to finish was a breeze. Highly recommend. We will most definitely come again.

Loved the vibe (style, decor, etc). Lots of cooking pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. Lots of extra warm blankets (very important since we sometimes struggled with maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature. Owner responsive to requests, Very clean upon move-in. Kids loved the hot tub. TV's everywhere, but it would have been nice to have a larger one in living room so that we could all enjoy holiday shows together. Actually felt bigger than from photos on site. Plenty of room for the 10 of us and our small Chihuahua. Proximity to ski/snowsport areas was pretty good, local park with playground at bottom of hill was great for when younger kids were getting some cabin fever. Close to a large town (Boone) added to comfort for us big-city folks. Would recommend not running the dishwasher before going to bed since it was VERY loud.

It will be a while before getting back to normal for WNC and with so much devastation out there this review probably doesn't matter. The Nut House was a great cabin, but lacked cleaning. The floors were dirty, bugs in the sink, regular beds not made (not bunk beds or pull outs), hair in the bathtub, hair on night stands and even a skewer on the floor in one of the bedrooms. The management company was timely in their reply to my concerns but it is disappointing to pay $1k for a weekend stay and have to deal with that. Hopefully when things get back to normal all this will have improved for other guests Would stay againif the cabin was cleaned properly.

Thank you! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay overall, but we are sorry to hear that there were cleaning issues. We are sharing this with our cleaning team so that this can be addressed. We are also thankful that The Nut House did not sustain any damage from the storm, and it is back to welcoming guests. We'd love to have you visit in the future. Thank you - BRMR
