We had the rare pleasure of spending a month at this chalet in Argentière in the lead-up to UTMB. The house itself feels like a true family home—warm, lived-in, and quietly beautiful—yet what makes it remarkable is the way it sits within the landscape. It exceeded our expectations entirely; we hadn’t known what to imagine, and the photographs hadn’t captured even a fraction of its character. The time there felt less like a stay and more like being momentarily woven into the place. It felt both grounding and a little bit dreamlike. The owners are as generous as they are thoughtful, and there is a genuine sense of being welcomed. We left reluctantly, already hoping to return next year.
