The house was great, we had some electricity outages, which is normal in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, there were no candles in the house. We also own a home in Costa Rica, we recommend the flameless candles as they are battery operated and won’t burn your house down. The house manager did bring us some candles. The other minor issue was cooking is not as easy without power. There is a BBQ, but it did not have any propane. That too was quickly resolved by the house manager. Just things that could have been there ahead of time. The house is beautiful and the views are spectacular. The staff was great in quickly resolving issues. We would rent this property again!

We had a great stay at Villa Macaw. All the rooms were comfortable and the set up allowed for privacy for the two families. The kids loved the pool!

We stayed nine nights at Villa Macaw over the holidays with a group of 10, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.The home itself is magnificent, perched above Quepos with breathtaking views of the city and the Ocean. Every morning, like clockwork, a formation of four macaws would fly past the villa—an unforgettable way to start each day. We were also lucky enough to have monkeys visit the property, which was an incredible experience seeing them up close for the first time.One very pleasant surprise was the daily service—each day the house was spotless, and our clothes were washed and neatly folded, which made the stay feel especially relaxing and luxurious.The pool overlooking the city was spectacular and quickly became a favorite gathering spot for our group. Whether during the day or at sunset, the views were simply stunning.We packed the trip with memorable excursions including ATV rides, a waterfall tour, Manuel Antonio National Park, zip-lining, and a private New Year’s Eve sunset catamaran cruise—all of which were seamlessly arranged. Working with Mauricio leading up to the trip was a pleasure. He was incredibly responsive, booked all of our excursions, and even secured reservations at a few popular restaurants that typically don’t take them.Villa Macaw was the perfect home base for our Costa Rica adventure, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling with a group looking for comfort, views and an unforgettable experience!

Home is bigger than you expect. Roads are scary, if you rent a car.

Home is lovely, I would recommend you let Mauricio’s, arrange everything for you! He’s beyond amazing & a REAL asset to this home. Sandy the chief is very sweet & makes yummy food! Sandra is the maid & shes amazing! These 3 people made are stay special. Don’t be taking back by the town, it’s different then what we’re used to in the States BUT- once you go inside the stores, you’ll fine clean, sweet locals. Try the local foods, their yummy. Over all i’m so happy we choice this spot!

Beautiful House

This property was immaculate with spectacular views of the ocean and the mountains. We could not have asked for a better spot to stay on our first trip to Costa Rica. The pool is wonderful, the kitchen has everything, and the outdoor living spaces are perfect. We were close to all of the activities and still felt like we were tucked away in the jungle when at this villa! There is so much room that two families easily shared the space! You can’t beat the host services either - we had all our activities planned and arranged before we got there - making for an effortless trip full of great memories. Thanks so much!!!
