The view of the lake was beautiful and the large kitchen was very accommodating for preparing family meals. The play room that was next to the living room area was a big plus with an assortment of toys. We had a wonderful stay!
A spacious house in a good location, 30 minutes from trailheads in Keene valley and 10 minutes from shops in Schroon. Paradox Lake is great for swimming, kayaking, and fishing; lots of wildlife--loons, heron, beaver, deer, heron, and even an eagle sighting. Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, good wifi (even by the beach). Host was very responsive. Only significant negatives were the lack of an outdoor shower or hose to clean off sandy children and no lake-side access to the house.
Would recommend this property to anyone. Beautiful house on Paradox Lake. Host was super friendly and very accommodating. Any question I had, he promptly responded. Looking forward to staying again in the future.
Perfect lakefront and spacious home for large families! Frank is great with communication and providing information. The house is set up to create life long memories!
If you like privacy with the woods and still have the experience of boating and swimming on a lake, this is the place for you.We did have a problem with the house and the owner notified us right away. Everything ended up good. The house is large with a very nice kitchen which was the most important thing for me. Large dining room and other rooms are big for smaller children to use. Loved all the sliding glass doors so we could see the lake. We did enjoy the area but I might be bias on this matter since I grew up in the area. If you like to hike, there are many different hiking trails around this area.
The property is very nice and accurately described. Our family had a great time and we will look to return. The house is comfortable and large, perfect for a mid-large family get together. We had 6 adults and 3 small children. Paradox Lake is very nice and the house makes the most of the experience. The kitchen is extremely nice and up to date. There is a large dining area and table with plenty of chairs. Most rooms have a ceiling fan and there is a great view of the lake from two bedrooms, the kitchen and the living room. A very nice beach with a rowboat that was in good shape and two kayaks, also in good shape. Plenty of deck space, plenty of yard space and plenty of toys in the play room. The internet worked well. Thank you, Frank.
This home was perfect for our large family getaway. It was so spacious, warm and clean. Bedrooms were large, many with spectacular lake views. The home was well stocked and saved us from a trip to the store for those little things that we forgot to pack (coffee filters etc). The owner was super flexible, easy to communicate with and responded quickly to inquiries. Direct lake access was perfect for ice fishing and easy to take the kids back inside when they were chilly. Will definitely be back!!
Excellent place to stay/spend vacation time. Overall the setting/location of the house so perfect that it can be an awsome place for any season.
From booking to check-in to check-out, correspondance with owner was super easy.
The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. Stocked with everything needed for a family/friends retreat.
Having Paradox Lake right in the backyard was super. Lake was frozen so enjoyed a lot on frozen lake as well.
Inside the home, all bedrooms, living room, dinning room, kitchen, play room were very good and families had great time.
Definitely a place to return back in summer.

Muhammad was a great guest. He communicated well leading up to and during his stay, and his group took excellent care of our home. We would highly recommend him to any other host and we would welcome him back anytime.
This house is enormous and was perfect for our two families to spend a few days together between the holidays. Bedrooms and common areas are very large. The house is very simply furnished but comfortable and warm. The beds are very firm, which wasn't an issue for me but was for some in our group. The only TV in the house is in the small playroom. This wasn't an issue for us as we were more interested in screen-free activities, but it's something to note. Host was extremely responsive to our questions and concerns. The driveway in winter is NO JOKE! They are serious when they say you need 4WD or AWD. The only thing we found lacking was a decent knife in the kitchen. The hours of shops, restaurants and stores in town differed from what is listed online and many were closed completely between the holidays, so just be aware of that if you are coming in the off-season. I would absolutely book this home again.

Very overpriced
The lake is beautiful...the house large and the bedrooms are reasonably comfortable. The kitchen is seriously underequipped for a house this expensive. The pots and pans are scratched, no teapot, very few utensils, plates and glasses - very low quality, etc. One problem was that the house was full of mosquitos when we arrived. The outside also had a mosquito problem. For this price one expects a more comfortable situation. Also, there are only 3 deck chairs on the lawn and altogether one chair on the two terraces. So even if we wanted to be outside (which was made difficult by the insects) we would have no place to sit. The house advertises itself as accommodating 8 people but there are no chairs for 8 people...
In addition, there is a tear in one of the screens which we needed to fix. The property comes with a rowboat and two kayaks as advertised. Unfortunately one of the kayaks needs to be replaced and the rowboat needs an anchor for fishing.
Paradox lake is great and the house good for a large group (we were 9). But for the price one expects a lot better.

These guests complained from the moment they arrived, and it did not stop. Pots and pans do get scratched with use. There are 33 large dinner plates, 17 medium/small plates, 25 bowls, 16 drinking glasses, and various sized pots and pans. There are two (2) kettles for boiling water. They complained that there was no citrus squeezer, ginger grater, or tea leaf strainer. We offered for them to purchase whatever items they felt they needed, and we would reimburse them, as they were going to to store, but they chose not to do so. There are three (3) Adirondack chairs by the beach, and a picnic table and bench that seats seven (7), for a total of ten (10). There are also two picnic tables on the back deck which seat fourteen (14), and an Adirondack chair. They complained that there was water in the row boat, which happens when it rains. We had the handyman go over to turn it over for them (something all other guests do themselves). When we checked the home upon them vacating, two sliding glass doors were completely open, which allowed bugs and mosquitos to get in. Leaving the doors open may have allowed the mosquitos to get in upon their arrival. As for outdoor mosquitos, we do not control mother nature, and it was a very rainy season. We tested both kayaks on 9/4/23, and both are in good working order. The home was left in a very filthy and dirty condition. The cleaners said they have never seen the kitchen that filthy. It took them three (3) hours to clean just the kitchen and living room. Most guests have rated us 5 star, and we are proud of that, as we strive to provide a wonderful vacation for every guest.
It was a beautiful week at one of our favorite, quiet lakes! Homeowner was very helpful and communicative as needed. House was accurately described in listing. It was large and spacious which accommodated our family well. Perfect way to end summer!
