Very well maintained cottage with everything we needed for our stay. The lake was great to kayak, lots of areas to explore. Great hiking, waterfalls, dining out within a short drive.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful chalet with gorgeous views of the lake. The surrounding area was peaceful and scenic. The interior was spacious, comfortable, clean, and just perfect for a family vacation. One of the best places we have stayed – we highly recommended it!
Well stocked kitchen, deck fantastic and proximity to the water for kayaking perfect. Host very responsive. Pls remember if u r staying—phone reception poor even with the hosts internet
Cabin was perfect for a week long stay with 6 adults and one dog. Perfectly stocked, extremely clean and very dog friendly. View from the house was relaxing, and use of kayaks was a huge plus. Great location to get to numerous area highlights! Communication with Amy was easy, and received quick responses to questions that we had. Overall, a fantastic stay!
Everything from booking to check out was perfect!! The house is even more gorgeous in person and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our family!! Only thing that could have made it better… we could have stayed even longer! We will definitely be doing that next year!
Our second stay at the chalet. Everyone had a wonderful time. We are a family of 6 adults and 1 child. Place is clean and well equipped with what you need to enjoy yourself. Amy (host) very responsive.
The property was great. Very accurate to what you see in the pictures. We really enjoyed the kayaks, the open concept living area, access to the dock and beach, and the peace and quiet at night. It was a great space for our party of 8!
We enjoyed our stay, the location was so quiet and made relaxing by the lake amazing. We took advantage of the kayaks and explored the lake. We were within a half hour to an hour of several waterfalls and other natural wonders. We enjoyed Wagler, Chapel and Mosquito Falls one day, the next day we explored Big Springs and our last day we explored the Picture Rocks area including Miners Castle and Falls. What an amazing gem you have!
This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Easy to get to and excellent directions. Excellent communication. Great vistas. Best stocked kitchen and other amenities I’ve experienced. Comfortable. Seven us old Scoutmasters stayed here. Beds comfortable too. This to us was a luxury stay. Hoping to come back in future.
The property was beautiful. The house was very clean. Our grandchildren had an awesome time. The only think they wanted was to fish. A fishing pole or two would have been extra great! But we loved our stay! Thank you
We enjoyed staying at the chalet on Sixteen Mile Lake! We were all very comfortable and woke up to a beautiful snowy, winter scene! We only stayed one night but we enjoyed playing a board game by the fire place, and we appreciated the little details, like the books and figurines in the bunk room. A great experience!
My family and I stayed to celebrate a Birthday and travel around the UP for a week. The house was perfect, well set up and dog/kid friendly. We really enjoyed having coffee on the dock in the morning and stargazing at night (when it wasnt cloudy). It was so nice to hear nature and feel the calm of the woods. Buckhorn Resort Tavern was great for a family meal out and Carberry's Wood Fired Pizza was worth it!! (They are cash only) The shipwreck tour was also surprisingly great!!Overall we had a great time and the house was a perfect base camp for the week. We miss it already!!
Our family had a great time staying here for the week. We enjoyed the couple of super hot days on the lake, in and on the water. And, spent some time on the cooler days checking out the area - shipwrecks in Lake Superior, exploring the painted rocks and waterfalls and shopping the many shops in Munising. The communication with the owners was great, very responsive when we had questions. I wouldstay here again if we come back to the UP. And if you're looking for more space for additional family or friends to stay, have them check out Snowshoe just next door. We had additional family that stayed there so we all could vacation together.
