About this property
Backyard Lake Access, Kayaks, Fire pit, Grill, Hammock, Deck, Beautiful Views
If you are looking for a quiet, country, lake retreat you have found it! Antelope Lake is a roomy 2600 surface acres of water surrounded by trees, hills, pasture, PLOTS land and very few homes/cabins. Lot size in this small HOA development, Antelope Hills, is over an acre, giving each home a nice size yard and a bit of privacy. From the panoramic view off our deck you will likely be able to spot birds, deer, fox and raccoon. A private walking/ATV trail gives guests access to lake front where a small sandy beach and 4 kayaks await. This is a hidden gem - my happy place. A place to rest, explore, connect, fish, hunt, laugh, read. . . and I would love to share it with you.
This 1620 square foot lake home, which was constructed in 2021, will surprise you with spacious gathering areas and tons of natural light. On the main level you will find the primary bedroom, complete with queen bed, roku TV and nice size closet. You will also find a large bathroom. But, the highlight of this level is the open- concept kitchen/living/dining space with panoramic lake views and a huge deck. The kitchen is well equipped with all the large and small appliances you may desire, including a crock-pot, coffee maker, toaster, electric griddle and frying pan, pots and pans, baking sheet, casserole pan, Tupperware, dishes, knives, mixing/serving bowls, soap, garbage bags, etc… There is a propane grill on the deck and a fire pit in the backyard.
The walk-out basement is flooded with light. It has two bedrooms. One with a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds. There is a family room with roku TV, queen pull-out couch, a pair of recliners and an electric fireplace to keep winter cozier! The lower level bathroom has a custom tiled walk-in shower with a removable shower head perfect for bathing yourself or your water-loving dog.
This home is newly constructed, larger than it appears, nicely furnished and CLEAN!
Throughout the home you will find books, games, toys, and puzzles. I want every family member - young or old - to enjoy their stay, and I have tried to supply items that will make that happen!
This home has access to a shared HOA boat ramp and swim beach. This area is not open to the general public, but it is shared only with our small HOA community. The HOA boat ramp/beach area is about a .5 mile walk or drive down the road. The lake is directly behind the property, and we have a private path cut through the trees for backyard access to the shore! It is a .12 mile gravel road suitable for walking/ATV access through the trees to the lake front. (Vehicles are not allowed.) Although a steep climb, it is a magical walk through the trees! May through September we will have a 4 kayaks available for guest use located at the end of the path.
You are more than welcomed to bring your boat, jet ski, canoe, snowmobile, fish house, kayak, ATV/UTV, etc… We have plenty of parking at The Nest, and Antelope Lake is stocked with both perch and walleye. (Thankfully, we did not have winter kill, which plagued several area lakes during the harsh winter of 2022/2023.) It is also a great place for recreational water sports of all types from quiet paddle boarding to laughter-inducing tubing. This is not a busy waterway. On a typical weekend there will only be a handful of boats on the water.
For the heartier outdoorsmen, ice fishing can be fun!
(Most years ramps are in the water from late April to mid-October. Dates are estimates as weather can vary year to year.)
Additionally, it is a great area for hunting of many types (pheasant, sharp tail, huns, ducks, geese, swans, turkey, deer, even moose if you can snag a tag!) with quite a bit of PLOTS land nearby. We host many hunters each year, and all have left with a new appreciation for the area and stories to last a lifetime.
WINTER: There is winter access. Access includes 7 miles of gravel, so we advise a 4 wheel drive truck in icy, snowy or muddy conditions. In winter months, we will have snow cleared from the driveway when you are scheduled to arrive - however, as we live off-site, daily snow removal on the lot will not be provided. The backyard path will not available in the winter. With the exception of the driveway, the county clears snow on all roads leading to the property.
Within 30-45 minutes you will find multiple small town communities to explore - including Harvey, Rugby, Anamoose, Drake, and Balta. Gas, bait, groceries, restaurants, coffee shops, golf courses, medical care and even some darling boutiques are such fun to discover. The friendliness and hospitality of small town ND can not be beat! Inside the home, I have a list of my personal favorite shops and restaurants.
Antelope Lake is a wonderful, little-known location in which to gather with family or friends to explore, boat, fish, hunt, hike, bike, nap or . . . no matter the season.

About the host
Hosted by Alicia Dietrich

I am a solitude loving, wildlife watching, hobby jogging mom of 6. My husband and I are happiest at the lake. We have found that family roots grow deep in the quiet of the country, well-mixed with the dose of adventure that boating, fishing, biking, kayaking, and hunting that this "neck of the woods" provides. This place quiets my soul, brings laughter to my lips, and rest like no other. I hope it does the same for you!
Why they chose this property
We love to build and bless! In building this lake home, right next to our own, we hope for many to find the same benefits that we have. Antelope Lake is our happy place. The place where dreams have the space to unfold, memories have the invitation to be made and bonds are destined to be strengthened.
What makes this property unique
This is not a location all will love. It is rural, surrounded by gravel. There are few neighbors. The nearest restaurant is a very local, "dive bar" 20 minutes away. (Kids are welcome.) BUT, it boasts an unspoiled beauty and a purity that is rare. The lake will not be overrun with traffic. Your kids will be safe biking, hiking and exploring. The neighbors will say, "Hey!" For those that find their way, it will become a place of joy and rest. At least that is what it has become for us, our children, and our dearest friends. We invite you to join the few who have loved Antelope Lake life.
