An amazing chateau in a beautiful location. We (4 adults and 4 children) had so much space and enjoyed the pool and terrace. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and the house had everything we needed.Claudia was a great host, along with François on site, and the locals were all so friendly and welcoming. Foix castle was a real highlight.

The castle surpassed all our hopes! The photos on VRBO do not (and cannot) do it justice. We were a family of 12, adults and teenagers, and everyone was comfortably accommodated and well entertained. The pool was a boon as it was very hot for our entire two week stay. The table tennis came into its own in the evening. All the amenities were first-class, from showers and bathrooms to a very well equipped kitchen. A perfect place to relax! Thanks!

Fantastique séjour

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique dans cet environnement magnifique, tout était parfait dans ce havre de paix où nous avons passé une semaine mémorable! L’accueil, le magnifique château, la superbe piscine, la vue, la tranquillité , les équipements et la propreté bref je recommande les yeux fermés!

Le cadre est magnifique et un point très important, le calme et le silence règnent en maîtres. Tout contribue à apprécier cette location atypique. L'architecture, le volume, la terrasse et la piscine vous feront aimer cet endroit . Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour. A recommander

Un endroit unique

Le château et son environnement immédiat sont magnifiques. Un endroit véritablement unique. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par François, qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer les spécificités du château. Quant à Claudia, elle a toujours répondu rapidement à mes courriels. Seul commentaire négatif, je trouve cher de devoir débourser un montant supplémentaire pour la location de la literie de 2 lits (2 couettes, 2 couvre-matelas et 4 taies d’oreiller) et de 8 serviettes (une grande serviette de douche par personne et une petite serviette). Ces frais devraient toujours être inclus dans n’importe quel hébergement de tourisme. Il est évident que nous n’allions pas amener notre literie et des serviettes depuis le Canada.

Beeindruckende Unterkunft am Fuße der Pyrenäen

Vielen Dank für eine tolle und imposante Unterkunft. Es war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis in dieser liebevoll restaurierten Burg eine Woche zu wohnen. Super Ausstattung, die Küche war der Hammer, sauberer Pool, gutes WiFi, viel Platz für die Hunde zum Toben, interessantes Umland.

Castle Life

We had a wonderful time in Castelnau-Durban. The property is incredible, the swimming pool fantastic and we loved access to the bikes. It only rained once in the two weeks and that was on the day we departed. We would heartily recommend a stay in the castle!

PICTURES DONT DO IT JUSTICE

One of the best rentals ive ever stayed in. The kitchen is huge and everything was clean. Its a peaceful location and towns witb resteraunts a 20 minute drive away. Slept very well every night as the castle is cool indoors when 40 degrees outside. Will be back next year x

Einfach schön!

Der Urlaub auf der Burg war wunderschön. Man wohnt ganz ruhig auf einem Hügel, ist umgeben von Natur und wir konnten nachts sogar die hauseigene Eule hören. Die Burg ist sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und super ausgestattet - wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Wir waren mit unseren beiden kleinen Kindern da, die natürlich den Pool super fanden. Man kann sehr schön abends auf der Terrasse oder auch drinnen vor dem Kamin sitzen. Da wir zwei Familien waren, haben wir im oberen Apartment gewohnt, das wirklich viel Platz bietet und wo wir uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gut erreichbar, in der Umgebung gibt es viele tolle Ausflugsmöglichkeiten auch für Kinder (z.B. eine Höhle mit Höhlenmalereien, Reptilienfarm), aber eigentlich ist es auf der Burg doch am schönsten! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

This place is awesome. It was like staying in a castle on a hill with the added benefit of a gorgeous swimming pool. The owners were friendly and efficient and made our stay smooth and enjoyable. The location is incredibly peaceful but only 1 min from the village and 15 mins to the towns - in a word perfect. Will definitely return and can recommend 100%. Thank-you.

Einmalig schön und ruhig, sehr zu empfehlen

Reisezeit: 27. Mai - 17. Juni 2017 2 Personen und 2 Hunde Das Objekt ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern zu sehen. Es war ein super schöner Urlaub, sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die mit Rat und Tat geholfen haben. Auch der Ansprechpartner vor Ort, war sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Das Objekt und die Anlage waren sehr schön hergerichtet, der Pool sehr sauber und wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Wir haben die Reinigung mit dem Roboter selber übernommen, Clorgehalt wurde jedoch vom Fachmann überprüft :-) Es hat eine sehr ruhige Lage, Rehe, Falken, Uhu, Vögel konnten beobachtet werden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren gut zu erreichen, die Menschen sehr nett, obwohl wir kein französisch sprechen konnten. Es war sehr schön abends auf der Terasse zu sitzen, den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen und die Natur zu hören. Die Einrichtung war Stilvoll und passend für das Objekt, liebe zum Detail. Eine sehr schöne Küche mit allen notwendigen utensilien, sauber und gepflegt. Ein Tipp: vielleicht ein Fliegennetz im Schlafzimmer Alle Räume sehr großzügig, Behindertengerecht eingerichtet, auch für die Hunde ein idealer Platz. Ein sehr schöner gelungener Urlaub, immer wieder gerne. Vielen Dank an die Vermieter für diese schöne Zeit, auch die Tipps und Beschreibungen.

Einmaliges Urlaubserlebnis

Urlaub in dieser Burg ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Die Burg liegt herrlich einsam im kleinen Ort Castelnau-Durban, einer Gegend die auch im Sommer nicht touristisch überlaufen ist. Die Burg ist liebevoll eingerichtet mit antikem Mobiliar und es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht, insbesondere in der Küche ist ausreichend Besteck und Geschirr vorhanden. Kinder können sich auf dem riesigen Gelände austoben und bei Sonnenschein geht natürlich nichts über den tollen Pool. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können Urlaub in der Burg uneingeschränkt empfehlen !
