About the host
Hosted by Judy Quick

I am a native Texas girl having grown up outside of Austin Texas. I have always had a love of both the mountains and the ocean. And, fortunately, for the last 20+ years I have divided my time between two beautiful homes--one in Southern California near the ocean, and the other in Placitas, New Mexico, in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. I am a former educator, and for the past 20+ years I have owned my own K-12 educational sales company....at one time covering the 6 states of California, Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. Today, I have cut way back but still do business in New Mexico, and Southern California.
Why they chose this property
I was drawn to the small village of Placitas because it offered a beautiful, quiet, secluded rural setting in the mountains but was located conveniently between the two cities of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It offered serenity, peacefulness, and a spiritual feeling that I had never experienced before. The historic village was also the home to a herd of over 300 wild mustangs that freely roamed the area. On my first drive out on a cold, snowy day in January, I realized that I had found the place to call home.
What makes this property unique
I think I first fell in love with the area of Placitas, and then when I experienced the charm and ambiance of a Santa Fe Style home, it was a combination that could not be denied. The views through the windows were magnificent and the mountains were so close I felt like I could touch them. I loved the privacy of being located on 6 acres of land and being located at the end of a one lane road bordered by an old wooden fence. I love the quiet and peacefulness, and the serenity that the property offers, along with the abundance of wildlife and nature.
