Just 10 minutes from Hershey Park/Giant Center, we're located on a 19-acre parcel of wooded land that boasts private walking trails, a 6-basket disc golf course, a large swingset/play structure, and a pavilion with a fire pit, outdoor dining, and grill/flat top cooking.
We will never ask guests to go through an excessive cleaning process at check-out. Please be respectful of our home and tidy up when you leave. But let us worry about the linens and trash. Enjoy your stay!
Our property is about a 10 minute drive to Hershey Park and the Giant Center, and about 5 minutes to Hershey Medical Center. We're also a 10 minute drive to downtown Harrisburg, the Capital Building, and the Harrisburg International Airport. We offer 3 beds along with 2 oversized couches and air mattresses. Please reach out if you have questions about whether our home is the right size for your party!
We’re located on a 19 acre parcel of wooded land with private walking trails, a 5 basket disc golf course (so far), a large swing set/play structure and kid’s cottage, a pavilion with a fire pit, outdoor dining, and grill and flat top cooking. Our property is a nature lover’s paradise. During your visit you may see turkeys, foxes, pheasants, deer, squirrels, cardinals, blue jays, orioles, hawks, and even eagles.
Our B&B is on the bottom floor of our family home. I live upstairs with my husband, two children, and old boxer/blue tick mix Dixie. You will have your own private entrance and completely separate living facilities as well as three dedicated parking spots. Please be aware that there is some sound transfer between your living quarters and ours. So we will be audible to you at times.
When you arrive, you can enter the house by walking down curved concrete steps and into a cozy screened in porch with seating for 4, and gas firepit table. This area is adjacent to our outdoor patio which features seating for 6, a ceiling fan and (soon) a smart TV.
From there, you can enter the guest house through the glass door into a spacious open concept living/dining/game room. To your right is a large seating/living room area with seating for 8 and a smart TV. We also provide family board games and some toys for younger children. The room also has an electronic dart set and air bubble hockey table, and arcade machines for your enjoyment.
To your left is the dining area with an expandable table that seats 8, a second lounging area that seat 5 with a tv, and a kitchenette. The kitchen area includes a full sized refrigerator/freezer, a toaster oven, panini press, and Keurig. We provide utensils, plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses, Tupperware, assorted k-cups, tea and more. We do NOT have a stove/oven as it is not permitted per our zoning ordinance. We do have outdoor cooking options under the pavilion (Weber propane grill, Blackstone flatiron cooktop, and cooking prep station). There is a large utility sink in the laundry area that can also be used for dishes.
Moving ahead from the entrance past the living area you will arrive at the bedrooms and bathrooms. To your left is the second bedroom which contains a twin over full bunk bed, a desk/office area, and a smart tv. Through the closet doors is the washer, dryer, and utility sink. The bathroom is straight ahead and includes a stand-up shower. Towels and amenities (shampoo/conditioner/soap/hair dryer etc) are provided. Continue through the bathroom to the master bedroom which includes a queen bed and tv. In the closet you will find an iron, pack and play, extra blankets/sheets, and air mattresses (Queen, Full, 2 Twin). The master also has a separate entrance that opens into the living room area.
There is a locked door across from the second bedroom that leads upstairs to the main house where I live with my family. Feel free to interact as much or as little with us as you like. As I mentioned, all areas described above are dedicated space for you, and completely separate and private.
The property includes 19 acres of mostly wooded land that you can feel free to explore. I have provided an aerial view map showing some of the areas you might like to explore. To the east of the driveway there is a walkway leading to a large pavilion with a Weber Grill, Blackstone Flatiron Cooktop, and cooking prep station. There is also a large high top table that seats 10 and converts into a shuffleboard table. Next to the pavilion is a fire pit with seating for 8 adults and 2 children. There is plenty of downed wood throughout the property that you can collect and use for firewood, or we can provide cut dried wood ($). Please do not cut anything live down though. We also provide skewers and mountain pie makers for cooking over the fire.
Various lawn games are available upon request (disc golf, croquet, bocce ball, ladder ball, corn hole, spike ball, and Kan Jam)
There is no running water at the pavilion but there is a spigot with a hose attached to the house that will reach the pavilion if you need water for anything.
To the west of the house is a small clearing for children to play. It includes a large swing set/playset, small children’s cottage with loft, and rope climbing tunnel.
There are various trails throughout the property. Some are wide, mowed, well-maintained paths. Others are little more than foot trails through the woods (see photos). There is a 5 basket disc golf course along the well maintained section. If you venture to the foot trails through the woods at the back of the property, be advised that some of the trails are steep and rocky. In the spring and after heavy rainfall. the trails will run through a temporary creek that our children enjoy splashing around in. It will dry up in the summer and dry times though.
All outdoor recreational areas are to be used at your own risk. Check for ticks, especially in the summer months. Leave the wildlife alone. Keep an eye out for the walnuts that tend to fall near the firepit area toward the end of summer and in the fall of the year.
We also provide a welcome book with local attractions, rainy day recommendations, restaurant suggestions, and hiking/biking/kayaking trails.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything that we just didn't think of. We also welcome feedback of anything else that we can provide or how we can help make your stay better. Thanks for looking at our home!
Mary

This place is a total vibe!!! Awesome retro feel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Games for kids, plenty of clean towels and the hot tub is amazing. Host lives on site - which made us feel comfortable knowing they were close. Host provided us with a nice personalized welcome note and a few treats, which made us feel even more welcome. We visited Hershey Park, the caverns and went to Lancaster. Great and comfortable stay for my family. We will definitely be back. Thanks Mary!!
Everything was good, we had everything we needed for our trip. We were in town for our son’s baseball tournament and this was much better than staying in a hotel room. Overall a great experience
Check-in was a breeze and communication with owner was seamless. The place had really cool old school video games that my 10-year old and husband enjoyed! We stayed for Hogan Hershey lacrosse tournament, and travel to and from the fields was easy. Would book again!
The outdoor space is really nice to make great memories with family. We had a cookout, made a fire, and just talked and enjoyed each other's company. The space was beautiful and private! The host were very accommodating to all our needs. The games in the living area were great. We played dominos inside; the table was a great size. Everything was perfect for our stay. I recommend this property if you are looking to make great memories. The pictures outside we took were beautiful!
This property was exactly what we were looking for - close to Hersheypark, plenty of room for family, and plenty to do. The kids loved bubble hockey and the arcade, and we loved being able to explore the property. Mary was an excellent host and was able to accommodate our early arrival.
A group of 6 adults can fit, but I definitely recommend avoiding the top bunk bed in favor of an air mattress. I'm basically child height and still felt claustrophobic up there. The property was beautiful and the trails were easy to navigate. We honestly were torn about spending longer in Hershey Park or relaxing here. If you're thinking of skipping the hot tub, don't.
Traveling with children is a lot and it’s such a treat to have a rental with all the supplies and entertainment for children already available. We didn’t have to bring a single toy, the kids had nonstop fun playing with the toys provided and on the playground. It was convenient to Hershey Park and the Giant Center which is what brought us to town. Would definitely choose to stay at Mary’s place again!
Property was good owners were nice. We saw lots of wildlife. Didn't use the playset as it needed cleaned/cared for.
We did have to clean grills and tables before use
Absolutely amazing property and close to Hershey park. We had 6 adults and were all comfortable. There was a bit of a musty smell that could easily be solved by a dehumidifier but did not take away from the overall experience. The host was amazing and communicated. They left instructions for everything.
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy spot. Our kids LOVED the toys, puzzles, and outdoor playground area. The hosts’ responsiveness and care was much appreciated. We enjoyed their booklet of local restaurant/activity recommendations, and we also found the map of the property super helpful to take a short family hike one morning. There is no kitchen sink or oven if you’re looking to cook, but we were not and really liked the coffee bar selections. Hope to make it back at some point!
Property owner was very responsive. There was a mixup with the cleaning staff preparing the property however she fixed this problem quickly and was very good with communication. Property was as listed. Would recommend this property to people in the future.
Excellent location, plenty of awesome arcade games for the kids and a private yard complete with walking trails. We saw a wild turkey and plenty of deer.
When you walked into the unit however there was a musty smell, it almost felt like we had opened up the place for the season. We got a response right away when we did mention this to the host but even with the air off of eco mode, it did linger. The place needed a deep cleaning and the concrete floor in the kids room wasn’t ideal. The hot tub was great, but glad we didn’t have company because the chairs around the bonfire and the swingset were covered in mildew and quite dirty; not ready for use. The host left a large binder full of info that reviewed all the local attractions and restaurants. Thank you!

Hi Kelly. Thanks for your feedback.
I apologize for the stagnant air on your arrival. Although you weren't our first guests of the season, you visited early enough this year that the previous guests opted to turn the system off entirely and we didn't notice. Thanks to feedback like yours we'll be better prepared for future guests. (And thanks for mentioning our quick response - its our priority to do everything we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible!)
I understand your opinion on the floor in the second bedroom. We are in the process of replacing the rug and opted to lay down a small temporary carpet rather than leaving the damaged one down while we waited for the replacement. I agree this was not ideal and has since been resolved.
As to needing a deep cleaning, I assure you that we do have the house professionally cleaned by a third party after each guest departs. This is the first negative feedback we've received about this but please send me a message if there was anything specific that you think we could do better!
Thanks again for your feedback and we're glad you enjoyed your stay!
Mary
Rented the space for the weekend with my friends (all young adults). The second bedroom is definitely geared more towards children, but we still had plenty of sleeping space to make it work. The location also provided plenty of entertainment with board games and an arcade machine. Mary was extremely responsive and helpful when needed. If you're looking for a straight forward rental experience with no surprises consider staying here. If we ever plan another hershey trip, we all said we'd stay here again! Thanks Mary!
The space was just as advertised and was very pleasant. The only real downside to it, which is explained in the listing, is that it doesn't have a full kitchen -- only a kitchenette with no stove or sink (there's a large sink in the laundry room). There is, however, a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster/oven, and even a Keurig machine, which can get you pretty far. Again, this is mentioned in the listing, and the property is overall very nice. It's also very close to all the Hershey attractions, which is a huge plus. Finally, the family that owns the house is very nice. Recommended!
