Host and property were perfect for a short getaway with the fam! Loved the "rustic" feel of the unit yet having the modern day amenities. Since it was the off season not a lot of places were open so we appreciated having the restaurant on site - great food and service and a short walk. Hope to return during the summer months so we can experience Lake George to the fullest.
the grounds are very nice and well kept. the room was clean and exactly as described. The tv was a little bit of a challenge to get on at first but after 10 minutes we had it figured out. Having the laundry in the room proved to be very useful after a day of ATV riding in the mud. A recycling container in the room would be good since we were asked to recycle and separate. The parking for the restaurant guests needs to be figured out better. Cars were parking all over the grounds and given the number of text messages from the management about people blocking spots etc. it seems to be an on going issue. There seems to be zero adherence to the adult only grotto. We aren't anti-kids but the adult only area shouldn't be a splash park. Otherwise it was a great property to stay at and we will definitely come back.
This property was perfect for our stay. It offered a balcony with a beautiful view of the lake and since it was fall it was breathtaking. It was great having amenities such as the pool, hot tub etc. but we didn't have the opportunity to use them. We did however enjoy an evening by the firepit and a lovely lunch by the lake in the restaurant that was on the property which was another plus. The only "slightly" negative thing was the 2nd bedroom was a full size bed with a bunk above and the bed was against the wall. Not the best sleeping option for two 70 year old's but that said the rest of the place was great. Additionally the TV did not work in that bedroom and I'm one of those people who use the TV to go to sleep but the maintenance guy was there right away - unfortunately it could not be fixed and was being replaced but that did not happen during our short stay. That said, these things are really not under their control. Comfortable seating, great kitchen and dining area and CLEAN!!
The most relaxing space, only minutes from the center of town. The jacuzzi tub was an added bonus! The only request I would make is to please put at the very least salt & pepper in the units? Otherwise it was nicely stocked with all kitchen essentials.
We really enjoyed our stay! Only wish we had known the indoor pool was not open during our stay. Also tried to use the clothes washer in our room and it smelled awful from being closed up and unused for such a long while I imagine.
Was disappointed. Thought the hot tub would be open but all facilities are all closed during the winter. Nothing really going on at the lodge.
Overall room is nice! Beds were super comfy
we had a great stay and the place was immaculate. The dishes, cutlery ,pots and pans were of good quality.
The only complaint we had was that the bedrooms got cold at night. other than that we had the best time. Enjoyed the pool, the hottub and the fires at night. Sitting outside at night under a full moon was a delight.
the only gripe is that the bedrooms got cold at night.
I chose this property specifically for the amenities it could provide for me (mom) while the boys were at the car show. Luckily, Saturday was beautiful weather and I lounged by the pool all day. If we had stayed longer than the weekend, I would have spent a lot of time (also lounging) at the outdoor patios with comfy sectionals and large sun umbrellas. I didn’t get to try out the hot tub/spa (“The Grotto”) but it looked wonderful. The cabin was great too!! We would definitely stay here again.
A wonderful stay at Cresthaven over the Labor Day weekend. All the amenities are as advertised and we loved splitting time between the lake and pool. Our children really took to the paddle boards and had a blast with them. The hot tub was also a favorite.
The rooms were clean and well appointed. Our only suggestion would be to have a bigger couch on the porch, the loveseat wasn’t big enough to nap on 😁.
All said, Cresthaven was great and we plan on going back.
I grew up in Lake George and have passed this property hundreds of times. I had no idea of how family friendly the Lodges at Cresthaven is, what a beautiful lodge, pool, beach and play areas for the children and family the property offered. Needless to say I’ll be back! Thank you!
