Wife and I were in town for the Cottonwood 200 cycling event. We were fortunate to find this place. Everything we needed within walking distance in a wonderful small town. The home itself was great, tastefully decorated, and fully stocked. Host was responsive. Highly recommend!
Wonderful downtown historic home! Walkable to restaurants (great recommendations from Christy!) and shops. This lovely updated building has high ceilings, a gorgeous newly remodeled bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen.Clean. Attention to details. Easy check-in. Immediate response to any questions. We loved driving the scenic trail to explore what mid-America used to look like: tall grass prairie lands and Bison and cattle on the far hills. We ate home cooked meals with the locals, strolled along the river walk and even attended a local high school Friday night football game. Our first visit to Kansas. Beautiful prairie and farm land. Friendly people. Step into a relaxed small town way of life.
Loved the charm of this rental. Took us back in time for a bit. Comfy beds and the big shower were nice. So close to the bookstore too, which is my daighters favorite place in town. We had a great stay!
Great location. Unique antique space with everything we needed for a weekend stay.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Bathroom and bedding quite clean. Everything else not clean. Appliances dirty, dirty coffee cup, floors, wall art, lamps dirty. Outside entrance is filthy. Any cleaning done is superficial. There hasn't been a thorough cleaning in months. Chairs in living are broken down. Stools under table in kitchen are wrong size ... can't sit on them at table. No closet, no drawers, no hangers or place to use them. A bit of thought and attention to quality details this would be a nice space.
Easy walk to many historic sites. Very comfortable, up to date accommodations in a restored 19th century bank building. Lovely Riverwalk nearby. Very enjoyable stay.
Beautiful historic preservation - elegantly decorated space and comfortable bed. Nice amenities.Walked to Hays House, Watts coffeeshop and Riverbank Brewery just around the corner. Great bookstore on the same corner and 56 Donuts a quick drive down the road. Gray starting point for the Flint Hills tour.
We attended a Kansas State football game and needed somewhere to stay. The Landing was the perfect spot. We liked that there were restaurant options to choose from and enjoyed a nice walk along the Neosha River walk. We would definitely stay again.
What a beautiful town! The buildings and river walk were so clean and beautiful to look at! Definitely take the time to go and hike or drive around the lake right outside of town. Wonderful place to visit!

This was the perfect spot for us to be able to explore downtown Council Grove on foot.
This is a lovely rental. Very well setup. Plenty of space. Comfy and cute. Close to everything and was easy to hop over to Manhattan for the game. Great host.
