The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Return pool floats, saddles, paddle boards to outside area by golf. Return all balls, rackets to storage area on tennis court. Return all golf balls and clubs to stored area by gate. Empty Ice Chest
Return volleyball, basketballs bocce balls and cornhole bags to designated holders or locations. Return toys, games and DVDs used back to original case and placed in cabinet.
Confirm all AC/Heat, 4 locations are turned off Check BBQ, BBQ mounted light, firepits and fireplaces to confirm knobs and handles are in the off position. Report and damage, items that need attention
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Additional day time guests must be approved. Site visits are by appointment only. Children and pets must be supervised at all times.
Special events, weddings and vendors must be approved in writing with a separate contract and and event fees are not included in lodging contract.
Cancellation policy for events and festivals are non refundable. Cancellation policy for holidays is 120 days. No motor vehicles on track or lake.

Amazing house

Very good for big familes we had no issues was very dreamy. The pool is humongous and the views from the backyard was my favorite part! Owner was very helpful so was the host highly recommended. I would definitely go back and I never have with any other house.

Incredible Group Getaway!

Wow! Wow! Wow! This place is even better in person than in pictures. We celebrated my husband’s 40th with a large group of friends and family for the weekend, and there honestly wasn’t enough time to take advantage of all the property had to offer. In addition to all the games, courts, HUGE pool and lake, the house was fully stocked with anything you could need. I personally loved the hotel sized ice machine, the yeti coolers and the patio misters to help keep you cool! They truly thought of everything. The kitchen is fully stocked with any device or serviceware you could need… the list goes on. It was a perfect spot and we will most definitely be back. Hands down, the best VRBO I’ve stayed at.

Family Escape

This is the second time we have visited this stunning property. It is our new happy place :) As our adult children now have children of their own, we need a lot of space and this awesome house fit's us perfectly! Another Great Family Vacation

This is our second time staying at Desert Ridge Estates. The first time was 8 years ago and was full of wonderful memories: a family vacation, a small family reception after our marriage, and time spent with cousins, nieces/nephews, brothers/sisters and parents/grandparents. We have been talking about returning to Desert Ridge for many years, and we finally made it! This time we also made many memories that will last a lifetime: our wedding anniversary, the second birthday of our son, the joy of watching 3 young children born since our last visit, and welcoming newer members into the family! This location has everything you need - a lake, pool, movie room, game room for kids and not-so-kids, and plenty of space for quite time and naps. It is truly an oasis in the desert. The owners, Shayna and Marie, are great hosts. They do everything they can to ensure you have a good time. And the on-site caretaker, Lenny, will do anything he can to make your stay wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed this truly unique and special place! You won’t be disappointed!

Good but problems with internet, random alarms, water, A/C, and kitchen issues

The pictures are accurate- it is a very lovely place and we enjoyed it. However, there were some issues that really undermined our stay. 1) one of the bedrooms (adjoining master) is really hot unless you leave the door to the master bedroom open. That is a privacy and comfort problem. 2) the internet is very slow- forget about trying to have a productive video meeting 3) the gate alarm kept going off randomly, one night it was probably double digits and woke people up. Seems like an ongoing problem and the property manager isn't reachable at night 4) the water cut off for a couple of hours and we had to harass the property manager to come and he seemed annoyed about it 5) had a problem with the kitchen stove sparking and one of the door handles was pretty loose. I get the impression that none of these issues started with us but the property manager has band aided them rather than fix them, such as how the alarms needed repair twice and how they have long been aware of how one of the bedrooms doesn't cool unless the master is open. So 4 stars to the property (beautiful but some maintenance issues) and like 2 for the property manager.

This property in even better in person than online!

My best friends and I recently stayed here for a girls trip and the property is just beautiful. Some of the pictures don't even do it justice as the theater is bigger than it looks, and the bunk room has some beautiful new bunk beds. The pool and lake are perfect and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Our only hiccups were that the ice machine wasn't working and that we weren't aware that the caretaker lived on the grounds, and he would randomly show up unannounced both outside and inside the house. Also the cleaners were still there when we arrived, but we just waited in the yard and had a drink. We had the best time ever in the game room, in the lake, and in the pool. We had a butler to handle the ice issue so it wasn't too bad, and very much enjoyed our time at this gorgeous property. I would very much recommend this for anything from weddings to a trip with the family as it has everything anyone could want!

We had a great time! Manager Marie is great with communicating fast. When we pulled up the property is BEAUTIFUL!! Lake is clean and grounds are well kept. So many activities we didn't leave once. House is so large, perfect for a large family/group we never felt on top of eachother. They provide mostly everything you need. THE VIEW IS EVERYTHING makes for great family pictures. My rating.... I give it a 7/10 only because house keeping was there for quite awhile after check in. Refrigerator was not working, would not get cold. I was worried about my breast milk! :/ Internet didn't work when we 1st got there, but was fixed the next morning. But all in all my family and I had a great stay we do recommend giving this place a go! Thx Marie!

A vacation is important and we want everyone who comes here to have the best experience possible. Family and friends are valuable and spending quality time with them is the most important thing for us.

Why they chose this property

I grew up in the desert area. I missed the peaceful nights where you can actual see the stars. The mountain views are breathtaking and the privacy of this Estate is ideal for our private get aways with friends and family. The activities are endless and we rarely leave once we're there.

If we do decide to leave ,we’re just minutes away from several world class golf resorts, the famous Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the Empire Polo Club and the heart of Palm Desert which offers incredible shopping, top notch entertainment, and unbelievable international dining experiences.
