This is a very special property! You drive down your own private driveway 'tunnel' through towering pine trees and then you are in the midst of your own private compound. The main house is beautiful and overlooks the lake facing west, so the sunsets are spectacular. Bedrooms are on the small side (actually the beds are very small... something to consider if you are on the taller side!), but that's to be expected for a 100 year old house. We were surprised that there was no kitchen in the main house- you have to go outside to the 'Dining Cabin', which is quite large but then itself does not have a bedroom or bathroom, which was strange. Bathrooms were very nice, and we *loved* the water pressure! There's also a large 'bunk house' with at least 8 beds and a bathroom/shower that was nice but we did not use. There's a fire ring circle over looking the lake, and also an outdoor kitchen to grill/BBQ on between the Main house and the Dining Cabin. The Boat house and attached dock/covered pavillion were quite nice and was perfect to dock my fishing boat which I took for the week. The only constructive feedback I would provide is that it would have be nice to use the indoor fireplaces.... Having rented high end places before (Garmisch Resort on Lake Namakagon), we could always use the fireplace, but here you can't... I would have been willing to sign a waiver or otherwise provided extra insurance. The host was a great communicator, overall I would stay again!
