Gets the job done
It took us about an hour to get into the room because we were confused by the instructions. What you need to know: you will need to pick up the keys from a different location than you are staying at. It's only a 2 minute walk. I had been messaging back and forth with the owner, finally had to have him call me to explain how to get the keys, but he seemed very irritated with me, which didn't help. There are codes to get into the initial gates, which depend on which side you enter the courtyard from. Then there's a code to get into the building. The apartments aren't labeled, so just be sure to follow the instructions very closely. The neighborhood is not great, but it is downtown Paris, so you can't have really high expectations because it's a busy/crowded city. Once we got into the room, it looked exactly like it did in the pictures. The room has what you need: towels, soap, shampoo, and lotion. It was very clean and fit 2 people perfectly. It took us some time to figure out the hot water heater (above the toilet). Make sure that's on if you're going to take a shower. :) Finally, there is no AC! Just beware because it might get pretty warm in the room over the summer months. We opened the big window, which definitely helped, but had to close it at night because of some noise and smoke. All in all, it was good for the money. Our goal was to spend more money on food and sightseeing, so we weren't looking to stay in a luxury hotel. Thank you!
