About this property

Balkonahe in Batangas, Overlooking Taal Lake and Tagaytay

Our house is designed for a small group or family who needs to feel a connection with nature. Our family built this house in 2019. We continuously improve this place pouring our pure minds, hearts, and souls so that every piece and corner of the place will make us feel that even if we are away from home, we still feel at home. We share these moments and experiences with our chosen guests.

During your stay, please treat our house as if it is your own. We will do our very best to make your stay a very good and pleasant one.

- The entire house can comfortably accommodate 12 people.
- It has 3 big air-conditioned rooms with 4 big beds, 2 floor mattresses, and 2 sofa beds.
- It has 1 private toilet inside the master’s bedroom, 1 common toilet, and 1 powder room.
- 4ft. swimming pool that is open from 8am to 9pm.

- P200/ Mattress with beddings
- P500/pax over the allowed headcount (Please be honest with the headcount so that we can all welcome you properly and advise some precautionary measures)
- Aircon in the living room has a fee, coordinate fee with admin
- Early check-in or Late check-out is subject to availability, likewise there's a corresponding fee to it.

Other notes:
4 flat sheets and 2 floor mattresses are provided for free.
We encourage guests to bring their own towels for safety purposes.
Infants are free of charge..

Amazing place

Place is amazing its like paradise .. the perfect view.. the sounds of wind and birds chirping in the morning and the sunrise that makes you feel good to start the day and makes you think that you dont want to leave , we really had fun from the first day till the day we left …so if your looking for a perfect place to enjoy you family and friends in any kind of occasion this is the one.. and ofcourse the caretaker are awsome and helpful with everything

Extremely a breathtaking situated house on a hill overlooking the Taal Lake. Huge property with wide open grounds at the foot of the hill where you can enjoy nature at the same time outdoor activities. Very clean and spacious house with full amenities and super fasr internet! Very accommodating host and care taker! Highly recommended for families who want to escape the chaos in the city!

What we liked about Balkonahe were: 1. The size of the home was good for our group of 4. 2. The view from the home and the terrace. 3. It is gated so our vehicle was secure at night. 4. Purified drinking water was provided. 5. The pool was clean and well-maintained. 6. The friendly cat and dog. 7. The caretaker, Jane Digo, was helpful. What we did not like about Balkonahe: 1. The house is not well-maintained. Some areas need repair/maintenance. 2. The house is not clean. It was dusty and dirty in many places like the shelves, fixtures, inside cabinets, doors, windows, etc. 3. It needs pest control service because it has a lot of various insects. 4. Water for flushing or taking a shower was not guaranteed. There were two nights when we did not have water at around 4 a.m. to flush the toilet and wash our hands. 5. The air conditioners are only available in each bedroom but we had to pay 100 pesos per hour for the air conditioner in the living room. 6. All of its potted plants and plants inside the home have browning leaves and need regular watering and fertilizing. 7. We were given only one bath towel each for our 5-night stay so we were using our towels both for drying after swimming and taking a shower. 8. There were dispensers for shampoo and body wash in the two showers but they were empty. 9. There was no key to lock and unlock the house and once the sliding doors got accidentally locked and the caretaker's husband had to use a knife to open the sliding doors.

What makes this property unique

Reminders:
1. The place is nestled in the middle of lush green forest of Miranda, Talisay near South West of Tagaytay, 2,000ft above sea level.

2. Expect some insects crawling and flying especially at night for they are easily attracted to lights. Likewise, flies, grasshoppers, butterflies, beetles and others insects constantly appear in our place especially during harvest season of fruits.

3.One house pet (dog) is around the vicinity of the house. The dog-Miranda is a homeless Taal survivor that’s why we chose to adopt her. She is a guard dog that is very friendly and is completely vaccinated.

4. Electrical supply is sometimes very tricky and unpredictable. We will open our generator if there's still no electricity after an hour or two. Moreover, during power outage, our generator set can only operate two air conditioners instead of 3, water pump, refrigerator, fans and lights. Rest assured our caretaker will coordinate and assist you if power outage happens.

5. To prevent any electrical interruptions, guests are encouraged to turn off air conditioners when not in use. Conserve water as well, as our water supply tank is only adequate for your entire stay and the barangay only supplies every morning.

6. Hospitals and medical facilities are 30 minutes away. We ask guests to be extra careful so that their stays will be enjoyable and worry-free.

7. Talisay market place is only from 6-10am. Plan to go early.

8. We do not provide towels for guests' safety and sanitation purposes.

9. Extra precaution is encouraged for new drivers due to the stiff and narrow road leading to the house.

10. Upon check-in, a P5,000 security deposit is required; if there are no damages, it will be returned.

1. No loud music beyond 10pm. Be considerate of the neighbors.
2. No events and parties allowed
3. No smoking inside the house
4. No pets allowed
5. Breaking of appliances/house accessories have corresponding prices.
6. No unregistered guests allowed
