Great location

We had an incredible time while staying at this property which is basically on the beach… just steps away. We were there for the solar eclipse which was so cool and the host even got all the visitors special glasses to see the eclipse :) We brought our dog Jack who instantly became friends with the 2 resident dogs JJ and Tres <3. The place was clean, showers are hot (I like that), and you can hear the sounds of waves and other nature from your room. The place is not in the heart of puerto viejo which I liked bc you don’t get any street noise. The one thing is that the walls are thin and you can easily hear your neighbors but everyone was respectful about noise.

Challenging Experience made better by host

The property was clean, the rooms spacious, and the setting wonderful...right near the beach. However, the nearby river flooded the only path leading in or out for a car, so we were trapped and had to walk the beach 1+ hours to town. The host was very accommodating and paid for a flat bed to get us back past the flood so that we could leave.
