The booking process and check-in process was very good. Jerome met us at the property and showed us around. And any time we sent him a query, he responded right away. The property was clean and the kitchen well-equipped (there was no toaster, so we toasted bread in a frying pan instead). There are features about the property that weren't ideal for us. We are 3 tall adults, and we found the seating in the living room inadequate - one large sofa and a small antique setee which looks nice but is extremely uncomfortable. The house can sleep 8, but we can't imagine how that number could fit into the livingroom where the TV is! The dining area has a great table and chairs, though. The biggest issue we had with the house was the very steep and poorly designed staircase leading down from the entry-level where the bedrooms and bathrooms are to the main living spaces below. We found the staircase hazardous (dangerous turn at the top, bannisters whimsical, and shallow and uneven stair heights) - not suitable for elderly folk or young children. A warning to anyone planning to cycle or walk in the area. The house is situated on a long and steep hill which is challenging, especially in summer heat. No problem approaching by car though, and plenty of parking available. The house is not a separate building, but one of a contiguous series of 4 units, so not much privacy. But very nice neighbours!
