Interior was recently redecorated and comfortable, and there is a good bakery next door. Excellent location for Balloon Fiesta but not for exploring Albuquerque on foot.
It was a double couple birthday getaway to celebrate our guys, so 4 adults. Comfortable beds (one of the reasons we chose this VRBO was it having basically two master bedrooms both with king size beds & private bathrooms. There was ample comfy seating in living room. Once we got the house cooled down (August summer heat & monsoon season) it stayed that way using the fans Andres provided. Beautiful modern kitchen & appliances. We didn’t cook but enjoyed having coffee each morning. We were up earlier than the coffee shop next door opened up, otherwise we would have loved taking advantage of free coffee! The location was quiet even for being near a main street. We also liked that the tv had endless options and streaming services to enjoy. For all the activities and shopping we did it was in a good location to shoot off from each day. The other couple with us LOVES Breaking Bad so we did an around town tour snapping pix of some of their favorite scenes.
Easy booking and communication with owner. Andres communicated with me throughout our stay and answered all questions quickly. Left box of Bakery Sweets for us. Thx.
The house is spacious, light, and airy. 2 families of 3 shared the house.. w two 8 year olds. Great kitchen, comfortable beds. Big bathrooms.... (but without doors giving complete privacy between bathroom and bedroom.) There is a half bath in the hallway w door.
One room had a Futon couch that the 2 Littles slept on.
Nice courtyard in the back. Could see balloons flying over.
The location is awesome (not residential) and 10 minutes to everything including Old-Town. 10 minutes to Balloon Fiesta Gondola Club entrance if you leave early enough.
Bakery next door is awesome indeed. Nice owner, baked goods, and coffee.
We visited Indian Cultural Center and Turquoise Museum. Aquarium was okay.. but not expensive either. Did not like El Pinto to eat. M-Tuccis Twenty- Five was really good. Indian Kitchen at the ICC was really good.
Thanks Andres. Our families really enjoyed it.
Andres prepared us well for our arrival and departure, he has recommendations and the space sits in a great shopping area with a coffee and bakery next door. The back yard is well kept and you have so much space both inside and outside. Laundry, fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous new appliances, and parking to make this one of the best stays we could have asked for. The location is in close proximity to the balloon festival as well as los poblanos lavender farm which we went to a couple of times on this trip. 5 stars, would definitely come back.
Had an awesome stay, host was the best.
Will book again and recommend property.

About the host
Hosted by Andres Gallegos
Hello my name is Andres. I started Z-CoiL footwear with my father in 1995. This adobe was our original showroom. I work next door and am available most days. I love this 100+ year old adobe and spent 2 years remodeling it. I hope you love it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
It was the location of the original Z-CoiL store and story. Before we bought the property it was an antique shop. The tree in the back yard is 100+ years old about the same age of the house.
What makes this property unique
Built from Terrone Adobe. Terrone is a type of mud/root building block carved from the banks of the Rio Grande River. Most of the walls are 12" thick.
