The star attraction of this rental is the pristine beauty combined with privacy, including over a mile private access to the Eel river with a variety of swimming holes. Furthermore, you will find many miles of varied hiking trails, which can also be used for mountain bikes.

You will have the entire ranch available without any other guests. You may encounter ranch staff on the roads as this is a working ranch.

NOTE: Due to size of ranch there is no self-checkin. A time of arrival needs to be arranged with property manager ahead of arrival.

We can accommodate groups larger than 16 by special request. Regardless of the group size, daily rate is calculated as follows: Base rate of $1200 is for 8 guests, then add $75/day per guest for additional. Dogs allowed, $200/stay.

Wonderful, completely unique experience to stay on a 1500 acre ranch. The land is incredible— think the Shire in Lord of the Rings. Amenities are perfect. You are staying in the owner’s own ranch house, so the spaces feel well thought out & cared for. Lots of little things that make a difference in a good stay— plenty of toilet paper, kitchen cookware & condiments, cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc. By the end of our trip our group was talking about when we will be coming back! Thank you!

Gorgeous location - great for groups!

Our group of 15 just spent Thanksgiving together in this remote, beautiful place. You are surrounded by mountains, trees, trails and views. There are so many places to hang-out as a group or to get some personal space.

One of our best Thanksgiving escape!

Nature pure, distant vistas, and vast space to enjoy privately. The riverscape is especially bucolic. The ranch itself has ample cooking facilities, fireplaces inside and outside, and plenty of games. Do your shopping beforehand.

Christfort Ranch exceeded all expectations. The house is incredibly spacious—much bigger than anticipated—and comfortably accommodated our group of 14. The riverfront setting is stunning and peaceful. Having a pickup truck made it easier to access the river, as the road is quite steep. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed for cooking and entertaining, and the check-in process was seamless. It’s rare to find a place that’s this spacious and comfortable for a large group (we had 14 people)—and even rarer that it lives up to the listing. This one absolutely does. We’re already hoping to return!

The most special family weekend!

We stayed at this property for a surprise birthday/family vacation with 8 adults and two kids. It’s hard to put into words how incredible this property is. The house itself is impeccable, perfect for a large group with lux interiors and something for everyone to enjoy. The bar setup is such a fun touch and we got a huge kick out of the mic setup for family karaoke night. But even outside the house the property itself is stunning. Lots of trails to hike and private access to eel river. We also loved booking a day of a skeet shooting to end the weekend. If you are looking to make unforgettable memories with people you love in a beautiful quiet nature filled location it doesn’t get much better than this!

We have owned this property since 2001 and gradually developed it into our personal retreat for family and friends. It is our second home, and we still use it at least one weekend a month, but since there are still many weekends and holidays we are not there, it makes sense to share it with others, while helping to cover the significant costs to maintain this large property.
