Located in western Lyon, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon sits atop a hill 300 metres high, proudly overlooking Lyon and the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers. It’s the closest true “green lung” to Lyon, thanks in part to: its Green Belt; its numerous parks, gardens, and public squares; and its Grand Vallon and Hauts du Bois green corridors. Together, they form as many green oases as there are opportunities to relax or take a family stroll. A true natural treasure of the city, with one-sixth of its area covered by green spaces (46 hectares)! Nevertheless, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon is not just a rural town; it also boasts a rich and varied heritage that has evolved from Roman times to the present day.
