This cabin was great for a weekend getaway with family! Wonderful place to make memories with family. The cabin was very clean, the wraparound porch was wonderful for persons with a wheelchair or a walker, they can be outside and not stuck in the cabin. Our host was great! Would recommend this cabin!!!

It was a nice stay. Owners were very responsive. It was very secluded. Stairs in the back are grown over. And the house is way older than it appears in pictures.

Thank you for your stay and for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the seclusion and that communication was helpful. For clarification, the cabin was built in 2014, and our listing photos (taken in 2021) reflect the property accurately, but we will certainly take another look ourselves. We love renting our place and do our best to maintain the Superhost /status we’ve achieved each year, along with the 5-star reviews on both Airbnb and VRBO. The main stairs are maintained and kept clear; at all times, there may be some natural brush near the lake access stairs depending on the season. We’re at the property regularly and are always happy to provide current photos of any area upon request so guests know exactly what to expect. We take pride in providing a great experience, and over the past five years our Airbnb and VRBO guests have consistently rated their stays five stars. We appreciate all feedback as we continue to maintain that standard.

Good. Just don’t use the tub. There was mold when I turned on the jets.

Thank you for your review. I’m glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry you experienced an issue when turning on the tub jets. The tub is thoroughly cleaned and treated with a commercial disinfectant between every guest stay, and this is the first time a concern like this has been brought to our attention. Because the tub jets are not used by every guest, we will take a closer look at the jets and make sure they are thoroughly flushed and cleaned as part of our turnover process. We appreciate you bringing your concern to our attention.

Great family getaway

Just did a multi generational family gathering at this cabin. Great place for multiple adults and teens. Beautiful property, be sure to spend plenty of time on the back deck when the rain is falling. Nothing like the sound of rain on a tin roof. The state park that is less than 10 minutes away was amazing. Mammoth Cave NP is close too!

Country living

We had a great family gathering at this wonderful property. The host is very nice and super accommodating! Very clean. Great fire pit and decks. Ample space for the 13 of us. Kids had a great time in the yard and made friends with the horse across the street. House was cosy and well stocked!

Wonderful place for a family get-away

We got together with family over the 4th of July holiday, and had a wonderful time! This home had plenty of space, and we enjoyed meals around the large downstairs table, cards and board games around the smaller upstairs table, games in the yard, s'mores around the fire pit, hanging out in the front porch to chat and watch the horse across the road. We spent a day at Mammoth Caves national park, and spent most days at the state park just a short 8 minute drive away, where we enjoyed the beach, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and long hikes.

Family Wedding

Our family rented this cabin as a place to stay while in Kentucky for a wedding. We were looking for a place were we could all relax, enjoy family time and share meals together... and this cabin was perfect!! We loved sitting on the porch, playing games and walks to the lake. There was plenty of room for 13 adults to sleep, eat, play games and get ready for a wedding. We didn't even need to use the table downstairs because most of us ate on the porch. The owners were very accessible and accommodating when we had questions! Our family highly recommends this cabin. Thank you Randy and Yvonne for the great weekend!

We are so excited that you're checking out our cabin! We live in and have raised our family in Barren County. We enjoy cruising around beautiful Barren River Lake and spend quite a bit of time here soaking up the scenery. My wife and I both work in Glasgow and love to vacation when we can sneak one in.
