About this property
Gîte au jardin Le Poivre
Jeanine & Gabriel (passionate about nature & landscaping) open the doors of charming authentic stables of character dating from 1819 carefully restored (formerly outbuildings of the old Charolais agricultural estate which occupied the place, having played a major role for the local resistance during the Second World War) nestled in the peace and quiet in the heart of a peaceful little rural hamlet full of history perched in a "belvedere" on a hill overlooking Montceau (located on the demarcation line). Soothing rural setting around, nestled on the edge of a bucolic wooded pasture welcoming Charolais cows in season (& "Robert" their donkey parked a little further). Possibility of being able to observe the wildlife on site (deer, hares, foxes, many birds ...). Spacious gîte of good comfort. Warm country character with a "vintage" charm, a touch of "rustic" enhanced by the soul of the original building (stone walls & pillars, original beams & framework). Cozy atmosphere. Large exposed terrace opening onto an exceptional & sublime "natural landscaped country garden of English inspiration" extremely flowery of 3000m² with path & enfilade, 100% ecological, carefully planted & planted with trees, designed & created from scratch by Gabriel (250 rose bushes of various varieties, peonies, irises, poppies, lupins, lavender wild flowers, very many shrubs ...). Superb unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside. Composition: Detached house neighboring the owners' accommodation + family accommodation (total independence without vis-à-vis). Wifi (fiber). PAC heating (+ electric) + fireplace (central system with forced air). Air conditioning. Ground floor: living room-kitchen-lounge, 1 bedroom (double bed 140x190cm), disabled bathroom (shower), separate disabled toilet. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms (double bed 160x200cm / 2 single beds 90x190cm), bathroom (bathtub), separate toilet. Terrace + garden (3000m²) + carport + private parking. Bicycle storage. All amenities 5 km. Supermarket 2.5 km. Exceptional address approved "Gîte au jardin" for its sublime "natural country garden of English inspiration" 100% ecological! Charming authentic stables of character dating from 1819 fully restored nestled in the peace and quiet of a peaceful little rural hamlet steeped in history nestled in a "panoramic belvedere" on the hillside, on a superb landscaped property of 3000m² nestled on the edge of wooded meadows, 5.5 km from Montceau-les-Mines, historic mining town located on the banks of the famous "Canal du Centre", now entirely dedicated to cultural & outdoor activities (all shops, services & river marina to discover on site). Soothing, preserved setting in the gentle, hilly peri-urban countryside of Montcellin, mixing nature and agriculture between large lakes and ponds (including the nearby Lac du Plessis), bucolic Charolais bocage, rivers and vast wild forests. Ideally located on the routes of the Romanesque churches circuit, a footpath linked to various marked paths crisscrossing the surrounding countryside (including 3 circuits in the neighboring town of Gourdon) & the EuroVélo6 cycle route attached to the "Tour de Bourgogne à vélo", very close to many marked footpaths in "balades vertes" (rich network of hiking trails of this type to explore on foot or by mountain bike in the area), 8 km from the GR7, 27 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" linked to the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône et Loire à vélo), 27 km from the legendary GTMC mountain bike circuit (Grande Traversée du Massif Central) & around thirty km from the junction of the Côtes Mâconnaises & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards (first vines 20 km away) crossed by the "Route des Vins de Burgundy" & the "Route des Grands Vins" (which is extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" crossing the legendary wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, etc.). Central location of choice in the very heart of southern Burgundy, on the borders of southern Chalonnais, at the crossroads of Charolais-Brionnais (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Autunois & Mâconnais, not far from the Morvan Massif & its Natural Park. Ideal for easy travel (RCEA 6 km away): 8.5 km from the medieval town of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of the most beautiful sites in Burgundy with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 23 km from Le Creusot (renowned Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 18 km away), 27 km from Saint-Gengoux-le-National (labeled "Cities of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté"), 32 km from Charolles, 37 km from Paray-le-Monial, 38 km from the illustrious abbey city of Cluny, 43 km from Digoin (river marina nestled at the convergence of 3 famous canals), 46 km from Autun (labeled "City of Art and History" & its exceptional heritage of over 2000 years of human presence) & 48 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "Town of Art and History". An unusual & green haven of tranquility 100% exotic, located a stone's throw from all amenities (supermarket 2.5 km away) as well as leisure activities, for a relaxing "green break" with the family! A true mini paradise for all lovers of horticulture & botany!
