Pentwater Family Vacation 2023
We’ve been going up to the Pentwater/ Ludington area for about 20 years. Now we vacation with our kids and grandkids. Went to up north petting zoo which was very nice. Went to both Charles Mears and Ludington state park which we love The biggest downfall for us was the lack of open restaurants. We wanted to go out on a Monday for my sons 40th birthday, village pub and brown bear were both closed so we ended up at Gulls Landing which was ok.

The Lundberg's welcome you to our Centennial Farmhouse.
The Green Door Farmhouse is a Craftsman style home that was built at the turn of the last Century. Six generations of the same family have lived, worked, and raised families on this Family Centennial Farm in Riverton Township. The original homesteaders from Sweden bought the land in 1887 and built the current house in the early 1920s, it is still owned and operated by the same family..
For most of the 100 plus years this Centennial Farm was a dairy farm, milking Holstein cows. Within the past three years the cows were sold to other local dairy farmers and now the Centennial Farm continues as a farm that plants and harvests corn, soybeans, wheat, oats and raises just a handful of Angus steers.

Why they chose this property

Spacious (and newly renovated) family friendly home located in beautiful Riverton Township, one of the most desirable places to live in Mason County. The rolling hills are filled with fruit trees, small inland lakes, and beautiful row crops.
We are close (1 1/2 hour or less) to most everything - cities (Grand Rapids, Traverse City) -airports (Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Manistee, Traverse City)- SS Badger Car Ferry is located in Ludington and has round trip sailings to Manitowoc, WI during summer months) - small towns and villages - great restaurants, and downtown stores.
A great home to relax in, or work remotely. Take part in a varIety of activities to do here at the home (x-country skiing, snow shoeing, running, walking, biking), or venture out and participate in local events in Ludington, Pentwater, state parks, beaches, museums, wineries, and breweries. Close proximity (8 minutes) to State snowmobile and biking trails. Local State Forest areas offer hiking, 4 wheeling and snowmobile trails as well.

What makes this property unique

Centrally located between Traverse City and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Seasonal activities located as close as 6 minutes away in Pentwater. Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo in nearby Shelby. Winery’s and locally brewed beers in addition to many (please google Mason, Oceana, Lake counties for updates on local seasonal events and outdoor activities) activities located in Ludington, just 20 minutes away.
Grand Rapids Gerald Ford Airport and Cherry Capital Airpot - both just 1 1/2 hours away.

A quiet rural atmosphere to work from home, catch an awesome sunset and walk the local beaches - sit by the campfire, take a long walk, cross county ski, and snowshoe - at the local State Parks OR right outside the Green Door. Located near Ludington State Park, Mears State Park in Pentwater, Silver Land Sand Dunes, and of course beautiful Lake Michigan.

Breakfast on us! (U COOK) Pancakes with local maple syrup, eggs, cereals, hearty oatmeal, or just a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with mini marshmallows.
