Communication with the rental people was the best I’ve ever received. They stayed in contact the entire time. Our stay was seamless and so much fun. The cabin was perfect for 3 people.
We had a great stay at this cozy cabin in Herber. It was nice to sit outside, enjoying the cool weather and views of the forest area. Our pups enjoyed the fenced in back yard and exploring the neighborhood on walks. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful property and location. The fenced backyard and bordering the National Forest where we could walk out the backyard with our dog Cassie is exactly what we were looking for and determined our decision for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed watching the cable TV! The weather was wonderful and even enjoyed the rainstorm one afternoon! If I owned the property I would put better lighting in the kitchen ceiling and down stair bathroom. Really a nice property!
Very peaceful quiet neighborhood, lovely porch in back overlooking forest, loved the fire pit. Everything was comfortable. Some of the furniture was a little worn but very comfortable.
The property is beautiful and the location is outstanding. We really enjoyed the comfort of the house and the neighborhood that it is in. We went to Woods Canyon Lake and Fools Hollow Lake to fish, and it was the perfect spot for getting back-and-forth. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend.
We liked that the posted pictures matched the cabin exactly so we felt like we got what we paid for. The kitchen had all the basic necessary cooking equipment and not a lot of stuff that wasn't necessary. The fenced back yard was perfect for our dogs to run around in but make sure you don't leave your pets, or kids, alone in the back yard due to it does butt right up against forest land. The property management was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. The only thing we wished for, that we did not have, was kindling. The property offers firewood bundles for sale, and we had two bundles delivered, but then had to come up with our own kindling. We would definitely stay here again.
Overall, our stay was excellent. The cabin was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The back deck was a great place to hang out and chill. There are a handful of lakes within 30 minutes. We went to two of them with our dogs and both were really nice to walk around.
Thank you for an excellent July 4 getaway from scorching Phoenix!
We had a great time! The cabin is super cute and we were there when it was cold, and the heaters in the house worked super Amazing! The best thing was having a fenced yard for our dogs so they could go out without leashes on. We would definitely recommend!
It was a great 4 nights away. Quiet neighborhood, fenced yard for puppies. Very clean, great communication. Saw deer every day. Very relaxing! Will stay here again. Go to Gigi's pizza and get Wiki-licious Maladadas. Yum!
My family and I had a very relaxing weekend here! The most exciting part was watching an elk graze in the clearing behind the house early this morning. The home was very clean and comfy. The bear themed decor is a really nice touch! Check in and out was a breeze. We just love the feeling of being away from it all and yet, while just a very short drive away, we can grab a bite at a restaurant or go shopping. We had a great time! Thank you!

No secure place for garbage. Bear got into ours and garbage was all over the fenced in area. The furniture is worn. Dirty and warn floor mats in kitchen and bathrooms. Low rated products included - toliet paper (which we had to purchase) tissues - NO bath soap, just small tubes and our stay was for 7 days. No disinfectant sprays for kitchen counter tops or bath. Kitchen inside drawers disorganized and dirty. Under the kitchen sink was visibly dirty. A vacuum was left in the living room FULL with floor dust/hair, etc. Carpet in downstairs bedroom just nasty. When we stay at a VBRO or even a hotel, there are an amount of cleanliness that most are accustomed. The downstairs bedroom closet had a roll-away bed and we had the smallest of room to hang our clothes in the closet.
My husband and I stayed at this cabin for 5 nights in July 2024. We brought our two dogs for relaxation and to escape the three digit heat from the valley. The cabin is situated toward the back of the property so it is quiet and private.
We enjoyed cooking on the propane grill outside and relaxing around the propane fire pit. We spotted turkey and deer from the back porch. The host checks on you regularly.
We gave our overall stay 4 stars based on the following: The beds aren’t comfortable in the downstairs or upstairs rooms. We couldn’t sleep past the sun coming up due to no curtains on the windows. The blinds are on the windows in room areas but don’t block light. The living room and kitchen areas have no blinds or window coverings so anyone from outside can see you inside, especially at night. The backyard has an ant problem that we let the host know about. The cabin back porch had spider webs all over chairs in a corner and lots of spider nests on ceiling. If you have small children inspect beds before going to sleep. The cabin probably isn’t sprayed for spiders or bugs regularly.
Tips: Make sure you bring toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap with you.
Heber is absolutely beautiful to stay in. We ate at our favorite Bear Diner again. We are already planning another trip to Heber for August.
Smooth check in process. Everything was a described. Very cozy inside when the very cool evening started. Friendly neighborhood great views. Would stay again in the future.
My wife and I along with our two huskies, Lola and Ginger, spent two months in this great cabin with a fenced in yard. The cabin is up against an open forest, so we got to see wild turkeys, deer and other small wildlife. The area offers some great lakes with some fantastic trout fishing. The cabin is fully stocked with any kitchen utensil you could want down to even coffee filters. All rooms have A/C. The management company is easy to reach should you need them and kept the house cleaned throughout our stay. We are preparing to travel around the country for the next several years before choosing our new home. Living in this cabin made us realize we really like the Heber area so keep the light on, we might be returning :)
Easy check for n process. Quick weekend retreat from Phoenix. Cool weather. In the 90’s in Phoenix, 72 in Heber.
We enjoyed the layout for our family of three. We played games, ate out, cooked in, explored hiking out the back door. Went antique shopping. Overall great time.
Great communication with host Stephanie!!
We will return!
Loved the location, setup and coziness! Had everything we expected! We even got to see beautiful animals in their habitat right from the back porch!
