My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It was nice and quiet out in the country. Had no problems at all during our stay or with communicating with the property manager.
Great property that had us close enough to Sherwood Forest Faire (25 mins) which is why we came into town. Beautiful property and so fun to see grazing animals out the window in the morning. No complaints!
My kids and I enjoyed this little house in the country. We had everything we needed and the house was very clean. The home owner communicated well when i had questions. The mooing of the cows added charm. The beds were comfortable and the fresh eggs were a nice touch!
This place is such a gem! My Partner & I needed a place where I could work remotely while he took care of some business in Elgin. It was clean, updated, quiet, peaceful, and offered amazing views and scenery. We prepared and ate all meals in the home, and it was equipped with all the basics you need. We had a tense game of Scrabble going the entire visit. The solitude and quiet were just what we needed! We saw plenty of wildlife from the comfort of the home, which was rich in natural light. We opened the blinds each morning and saw deer, hummingbirds, cows, squirrels and gorgeous sunsets. The views all day long were worth the stay alone. The last night, while washing dishes, three young male deer ran right in front of our window. I felt like Snow White! I will definitely stay here again if I am back in the area. Thank you, Katie, for being such a gracious host.
The location was great, not too far from the city. It was clean and very welcoming. We really enjoyed every little detail of this cute farmhouse, it was perfect. We did not want to leave!
Our stay was wonderful! We were greeted with a thorough message on how to access the property the day we arrived. When we walked in, we were greeted with snacks and farm fresh eggs! We chose this property due to its remote location. It was everything we wanted. You can see the stars clearly at night and you aren’t bothered with sounds of traffic or neighbors. It was the exact kind of spring break getaway we wanted with the kids.
Myself and 3 other dads needed a place to stay over night and it was perfect. Enough room to blow up two air mattresses if you move some furniture around. There is only one bed but no big deal. We had a great stay! Also.. snacks were provided. Very nice.
