Perfect stay during the rodeo. Wish we were a little closer to the rodeo grounds but overall the house is perfect, bed comfy and outdoor space is pretty with all the flowers.
My husband and I stayed at the casita as our home base for the Saguaro 1/2 marathon. We stayed on to explore the Pima Air and Space Museum and Karchener Caverns. The casita was in a quiet neighborhood away from the bustle of Tucson which was exactly what we wanted. It was very close to BLM land so mountain biking was just a pedal away. the beds were comfy, the one was clean and the seating was comfortable. The sunsets were incredible. Sara, our hostess, responded promptly to any texts or E mails. We would definitely stay here again.
We were visiting southern Arizona wineries and other area attractions & stayed at this delightful casita in Elgin from 01/24/2022 through 01/28/2022. The host is Sara and she was just terrific in providing us detailed directions on getting there but also answering our questions about the area. The casita is a nice sized 2-bedroom home in a rural setting with gorgeous views of the mountains, a terrific screened seating area (perfect for warmer months), an outdoor gas grill/smoker, patio area, full kitchen and large comfortable dining & living room area. The bedrooms were good sized with comfortable beds and everything was very clean throughout. I was impressed at how well the house was appointed throughout but especially the kitchen as it had cooking spray, olive oil, a bag of coffee and filters, salt/pepper, flour & sugar, foil wrap & plastic wrap/bags and Sara took time to leave us some snackies, bananas and pasta with a jar of sauce, which was extremely thoughtful. The location is perfect for visits to the wineries in Elgin as well as day trips to Tombstone, Bisbee, Patagonia, Sonoita, Madera Canyon via Box Canyon Road, Tubac, Tumacacori & the Presidio amongst the many things to see & do in the area. For anyone unfamiliar with the area, it’s pretty small towns in the immediate area so bring all your food supplies with you as the nearest chain grocery stores are in Sierra Vista which is a 25 mile drive. If you enjoy seclusion, peace & quiet with views to boot, then this is the place for you. I know that I’ll return to visit the wineries and will definitely stay here again.
A perfect getaway with all the amenities to relax and enjoy the ambience of SW Arizona. The Casita had everything we needed with easy access to wineries and short distances to Tombstone, Bisbee, and Patagonia for touring.
The hosts were so kind and communicated with us every step of the way. The property exceeded our expectations, it was so clean and comfortable. Sara and Bill have thought of everything, things are clearly labeled— we found everything we needed it was as if we were at home. The outdoor space is beautiful and we really enjoyed stargazing. We would definitely come back.
We greatly appreciated the attention to detail of this rental. It was exactly as advertised, clean, well organized, well stocked, very peaceful, and a great location! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet get away.
This fully furnished house is perfectly located near winery’s, national parks, & other historic locations. The owner has gone to great lengths to furnish this home with anything you could possibly need during your stay. The furnishings are great quality & very comfortable! Excellent communication & fast responses, including a local caretaker! Looking forward to booking this location again! Don’t miss this gem!
This was a perfect, quiet location for folks interested in hiking and birdwatching. Reasonable (15-25 miles) drives gave access to trails and natural areas of Patagonia and the Huachuca Mountain attractions as well as whatever shopping might be desired. House was clean and comfortable and host provided some welcoming touches. The backyard provided a great place to enjoy some Southwestern bird specialties & morning coffee.
The property is set among a small development about 7 miles from Sonoita and about 4 miles from one of the entrances to Las Cienegas National Conservation Area. For two couples, it was just right. There are neighbors, but not close. The small development is great for a morning walk without having to traverse the main roads. The views from the yard were amazing! There is a very nice planted area in the back that the birds enjoy and makes for wonderful evening sitting.
The owners were very pleasant to talk with and have done a good job with their guest information book, explaining what you need to know for the house and info on much of the surrounding area.
Very relaxing, very well set up and we are definitely planning to return.
This property is definitely home away from home. Everything clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The setting is quiet and picturesque. The beds were extremely comfy with warm bedding for the cool weather. We definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a base to travel around or just spot to land and rest up a bit. It was very easy to check in and out and the owners communicated on time as promised. You can’t go wrong with this home. Thank you
We appreciated how clean and comfortable the house was, and how much light it afforded — windows facing mountains in the distance in all directions. The location is quite remote — very few people, no stores (bring groceries), no bike rentals, cafes or amenities of that sort. Very quiet. Seems well set up for those with horses (which we don’t have). We drove a distance to nature and archeological sites near Sierra Vista and AmerInd Museum. Easy communicating with owners through the app.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and well appointed. Views of the mountains were great and location was perfect. Would love to stay at this property again!
