Cottage 38 features a beautiful view of Taylorsville Lake on the rear deck. We offer two bedrooms and two full baths. The master suite features a king size bed. The second bedroom offers one queen bed and a twin bed. The cottage is fully equipped, furnished, and complete with a gas fireplace, and hot tub on the rear deck. Event space is available for your gatherings, rehearsals and special events.

We were a little apprehensive because other reviews complained about the code for the gate and access code for the house. We did not experience any issues with this. All codes worked and communication was accurate and prompt. The house was in excellent condition, clean, and well-stocked with appliances and dishes. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

Great property but

The property and community are great. We received the wrong gate and door codes. We arrived at 3 and could not get in contact with the host. We were finally contacted at 6 with the proper codes. There was mold on the shower curtain in the one bathroom. The septic alarm started going off one evening and it was over flowing on the morning of our departure.

Yearly bourbon trip

This is either our 3rd or 4th year staying at Edgewater resort for our yearly bourbon trip. We have always loved it. Once we got through the gate it was fine. It took almost 24 hours for our owner to contact us back after we got stuck on the outside of the gate w the wrong code. We sat at the gate for almost an hour trying to get ahold of someone to let us in. Our owner didn’t realize the codes had been changed. There needs to be a much better way to contact them if this ever happens again. Otherwise it was great.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves! The house inside was immaculate! Beds are in great shape no lumps or divots. The hot tub was wonderful! Lots of wildlife after dark, including some very large deer. Now check in was horrible the wrong and expired codes were given and we spent an hr and half talking to vrbo customer service. We finally got in and settled around 130am. The porch out front was covered in spider webs and really unable to be used. The twin bed kept shifting while my daughter tried to sleep on it to the point we had to move her to the pull out sofa. The porch in the rear needs some maintenance done as supports are bowing and hottub looks like it's slowly sinking. Several light bulbs were out when we arrived. Toilet seat in master bath was very loose and should be replaced. All this being said we would still rent again, host was very accommodating and these few things are minor setbacks.
