Love the house, very quaint, plenty of room with lots of walking area and the yard seem to be in great shape, we were only there three days, but enjoyed the neighborhood quiet and nice neighbors
We truly enjoyed this home; we had a minor problem locating the towels but after a little search we were able to retrieve them from the dryer. This did not take away from our experience at all. The kids enjoyed themselves and we definitely would stay here again if we are in the area.
Very well thought out rooms and the play area was a win for our kids. Park was very close by and everything you needed was within 5-10 minute drive. Fully functional Kitchen which made our stay so much more convenient for our family 7. Lovely home!
The house is close to everything and was in great shape. Our son plays lacrosse at Belmont Abbey and this house was close enough for us to get back and forth to the school
We were in Gastonia for the weekend with friends and family for a graduation and ball tournament. This house was perfect. Lots of room for the 6 of us. Well appointed, everything you needed was thought of. Very simple check in and check out process. I would stay there again!
Very homey atmosphere. Rooms were average to large in size. The kitchen was well equipped. Neighborhood was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Except for the pull out bed in the couch.

Holiday with family
This is a great house for a large family or multiple families. It’s dog friendly which is super convenient if you have pets and do not want to board them. The house was very clean and matched photos. It was as expected. I gave 4 stars due to the crazy amount of fees (that more than doubled the cost of our stay.)
The house was really clean. There was sufficient space to sit in the living room and for eating. The owner was very attentive, easy to communicate with and addressed any issues immediately. The accommodations were comfortable. We would stay at the residence again.
We did this for our son’s college graduation. The beds are amazing. The master bedroom is top notch. The neighborhood is safe and established with easy going neighbors. The driveway definitely needs some work…lol…so pull in slowly…but, with a smiling heart, I can say all of us and even our guests who visited during the weekend, were so comfortable and impressed with the space and amenities. My favorite part was that the owner was so responsive and kind and relaxed with our needs and questions. We would return 100%. Thank you so much for a wonderful space to celebrate our beautiful son and our family and our friends.

We do have property sprayed on a monthly basis but very occasionally you will see a dead one. We wish we could 100% prevent them from ever coming in but NC can have them.
We were fortunate to stay at the Maple Cottage for a wedding held at the Separk Mansion. This home is located five minutes from the venue and very close to downtown Gastonia. We enjoyed our stay in this home. It was very clean and is located in a quiet neighborhood. The loft contains toys and games that kept our grandsons entertained. The layout of the home is perfect for a family especially one with children. The water pressure in our shower was excellent and shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles were installed in the showers. The kitchen had everything needed. I recommend the Maple Cottage for anyone needing a place to stay while visiting Gastonia!!

Not worth the price
We checked into the house and immediately noticed an unpleasant odor, which was disappointing. The shower drainage was slow, causing water to pool while using it. Most concerning, my friends found roaches in one of the bedrooms, specifically the one with the cradle. Given the price we paid, we expected a higher level of cleanliness and maintenance.

Christmas in Gastonia!
We really enjoyed having our whole family under one roof for Christmas. There are a few things we want to bring to your attention. When we pulled out the hide a bed we found a good amount of food crumbs and wrappers and toys. We had to wash the sheet from that bed. There was dead bees and other bugs found up in the play area upstairs and a roach in the heat register. I made you aware of the big pice of glass I found in the backyard. There was a large abundance of leaves in the backyard on the patio that I needed to move away from the back door so we could open the door easily. I suggest putting a door on the unused shed in the backyard, it is an invitation to critters or other undesirable things. Better instructions for the use of the dishwasher would be helpful. For a house that can hold up to 12 people a larger fridge would be nice or if you let people know that a cooler might be needed to hold beverages or extra food. I hope these suggestions will help you make your place a better experience for others.
