Maximum of 8 guests regardless of age. Please include infants in the total. The max occupancy is tied directly to the rental permit of this property and cannot be exceeded, otherwise we are forced to evict per county law.
Rental Agreement: Immediately after booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will be sent to you via text and email for E-signing. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours to finalize your reservation. You will also need to upload a photo of the ID associated with the credit card on file. This is solely for fraud protection purposes. E-signing allows you to go straight to the property upon your arrival, instead of coming to our office to sign and get a key!
Welcome Guide: One week prior to arrival, a digital welcome book will be sent via text message. For the protection of our guests, the guidebook will not be given out to anyone except the person who booked the property. The guidebook will have your special door code, address, local recommendations, and much more great info to help you prepare for your trip!
Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions: Yosemite National Park has implemented reservation systems in the past and may do so again depending on seasonal demand. When a reservation system is in place, guests staying at this property—located inside Yosemite National Park—are generally permitted entry with proof of their lodging reservation and do not need to secure a separate day-use reservation. Please note that the standard park entrance fee (vehicle pass) still applies unless you have a valid park pass. Entry requirements, weather conditions, and access to park amenities can change at any time, so guests are responsible for reviewing the most up-to-date information directly on the official Yosemite National Park website prior to arrival.
Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team provides salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray for your use. Occasionally, previous guests leave behind items such as spices, aluminum foil, or ziplock bags. You're welcome to use any of these, but please note that our team does not check for or restock them, so we can't guarantee what will be available. If these items are crucial to the success of your vacation, we recommend bringing them along to ensure you have everything you need. We try to clearly state this in the listing so there are no surprises.
Linens: Did you know that our vacation homes are among the few in the Yosemite area to feature professionally laundered linens? For every reservation, all linens are cleaned in commercial-grade washers using hypoallergenic detergent that's stronger and more effective than typical residential options. They're then pressed at 300°F—nearly twice as hot as a standard home dryer—to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and freshness. It's an extra step we take to provide a truly clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
Fireplace/Firepits: No open wood-burning fire pits, bonfires, or campfires are permitted at short-term rentals. Charcoal grills of any type are strictly prohibited. Guests shall not bring any personal grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses to the short-term rental; only those grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses provided with the short-term rental are permitted to be used as installed and in the location installed.
**Pets: This property is pet friendly — and we're happy to say there's NO pet fee! We welcome up to 2 dogs per stay. We do ask that you disclose your pet(s) during the booking process or by reaching out to our team directly, so we can make sure housekeeping is properly notified. We kindly ask that pets are kept off the furniture, are not left unattended in the home, and are always leashed when outside in accordance with county ordinance.
Parking: There is enough parking for 4 cars at this property. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!
Garbage: Garbage truck service is not available in this area. Yosemite Park requires visitors to "pack out" their garbage. There are several free bear proof dumpsters within walking distance of the cabin where you can dispose of your garbage.
Snow Chains: California Highway Patrol and the National Park Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.
Insurance: Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!
Mail: Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.
Pests: Please note that this property is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, offering a wonderful connection to nature. While we take regular preventive measures, including professional pest control, occasional visits from local wildlife—such as ants, spiders, insects, mice, or cobwebs—can occur. If you notice any of these during your stay, please let us know so we can promptly address them and ensure your comfort.
Neighbors: Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!
Maintenance: In case of emergency - Management and Management's representatives and agents have the right to enter the premises, after making reasonable attempts to contact tenants, to make any necessary repairs to maintain the health and safety of the tenants or the property.
No Smoking: The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.
Quiet Hours: Quiet Hours are from 10PM to 8AM everyday. This is a quiet, mountain area so limiting noise during these hours would be appreciated by the locals who call our area home.
Check In: Check in is 4PM or anytime thereafter (it's self check in, drive safe!).
Check Out: Check out is 11AM or anytime before.
Lost items or left items: Management assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or abandoned items. Reasonable effort will be made to contact the Guest for return. There will be a $35.00 handling charge PLUS shipping costs for any found items returned at Guest's request. Management shall not be held liable for the condition of said items. Any items not claimed for longer than 30 days may be donated or sold.
Simple Checkout Instructions: We understand checking out can be stressful and hectic, so we have implemented some of the easiest checkout procedures in our industry. 1.) No need to start any laundry, we'll handle it all off site with our professional linen company. 2.) If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful. 3.) There are bear-proof dumpsters located on Forest Dr. on your way back towards the main highway, on the left side of the road. There are also recycling bins, bathrooms, an RV dump, AND EV chargers near the Wawona Store and History Center. 4.) PLEASE return any furniture you may have moved during your stay (especially outdoor chairs). 5.) Most importantly, please note our checkout time is 11am, not 10am like over 80% of vacation homes in our area! Our housekeeping team runs on caffeine and tight schedules, so they sure do appreciate you leaving on time! Lastly, don't forget to get a photo with your family and friends before leaving!

Clean and spacious plus great location and surroundings. Host reached to make sure everything was good and provide info to contact for questions or issues.
As usual Yosemite was awesome, but we also really enjoyed the nearby sites. Swinging Bridge and swimming hole and Chilnualna Falls were a nice surprise. Comfy beds, nicely stocked kitchen.

Thank you for the review, Peggy. We are so sorry to see you only had a 3 star experience, which means you had a bad time! That is absolutely not the experience we strive to give our guests. If you have any time to share feedback with us where we fell drastically short of expectations, we sure would appreciate it so we can improve.
The house is clean and spacious, plenty of room for food in the fridge, everything you need to cook, nice big flat-screen TV. And the area is lovely. It is private but not isolated.
The house in Wawona is ideally suited for visiting the valley floor as well as the Mariposa Grove, a nearby waterfall, swinging bridge, and the Sugar Pine Railroad (just a few miles outside of the park entrance). Floor plan was perfect for two grandparents and a family of five, and we had ample room to spread out for quiet time as well as spots to snuggle and play games. The entire house was well-provisioned with extra bedding and towels, and the kitchen cabinets and drawers were handily labeled with their contents. It was more than we had hoped for!

clean, had everything we needed and was in a quiet, remote location which we liked. We did not want to be by hundreds other houses, campers etc.

Mary, we're glad to see you enjoyed your stay at Peace of Mine. Thank you for sharing that you loved the homes remote location, cleanliness and that the home was well stocked. Hope to host you again.
House accommodated 8 of us well. The grounds around the house are spacious and the neighborhood was quiet. 30 minute drive to Yosemite sites. Fun to explore Wawona and the Mariposa redwood grove nearby.Of note, the reservation is good for the park reservation, however you will still need to pay the park entrance fee.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that Peace of Mine cabin was a great fit for your group and that you enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It sounds like you had a fantastic time exploring Yosemite and Mariposa Grove. We appreciate the helpful tip about the park entrance fee! We’d love to host you again!
We recently stayed here for a post-Christmas family trip. The cabin is very quaint and comfortable, plenty of room for the (6) of us. The back deck has a nice view of the forest...felt very private. Great location to Mariposa Grove and Yosemite Valley (about 50 min away). No issues at all...but had thought there was a wood burning fireplace, which was kind of disappointing (probably our fault for not checking first!) Overall, a really nice stay.

Thank you for your feedback, Kelle! We’re so glad you found Peace of Mine to be comfortable and enjoyed the private forest views and convenient location. That said, we’re disappointed to hear that the fireplace expectation contributed to a less-than-five-star experience. The home does have a propane fireplace in the master bedroom, along with central heat to keep things cozy. We’re always happy to answer any questions prior to, during, or after a stay, and we wish we had the chance to clarify that for you!
That said, we’re happy to hear you had a great trip overall, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
We like to stay in secluded spots with our friends and family, cook, drink wine and just hang out. This is a perfect spot with gorgeous views of lovely pine trees in every direction. The kitchen is well stocked with every kind of cooking tool necessary to make meals for every occasion. We enjoyed a gorgeous 3-4 mile walk around the meadow in front of the Wawona. Perfect and convenient location, steps away from the Wawona country store, and only 35 - 40 minutes from Yosemite Valley.

Cottage enchanting. Lots of spAce for 4. Has maintained its cottage circa 1960s charm. Everything worked. No AC which was an initial concern but temperatures dropped at night so very comfortable for sleeping. A fair distance from yosemite vi village

Thank you to Gailyn and Adam for the wonderful space and the fantastic location! Our accommodations were perfect for our needs and everything was as advertised. We really enjoyed the piano keyboard and the TV service was very straightforward to set up. The sitting room served as a great play space for my sister's chihuahua, and the other rooms were quite nice for relaxing between our hikes around the park.
We had 4 adults and three kids 2-4 years old. The cabin location was great and very peaceful. The cabin had everything we needed (and didn't know we needed). Great space inside and out for the kids to play. The power went out in the area one night but we had no break in power because there was a generator that ran everything (heat, lights, fridge, etc ). Great to be inside the park yet away from crowds. Great communication and service. We'll definitely be back!

A very cozy and quiet place to stay. It has everything we needed. Rice cooker, microwave, pots and pans. The space is plenty for the 6 of us and it is also clean. Only regret is that we didnt get to stay longer to enjoy the area more. We love Yosemite and we plan on coming back. Also it helps that the Pine Tree store is nearby and have pretty much what you need. We also get to meet Nancy who is a great photographer. Worth the stay.
We came up during the mid-Spring after a snow storm and found this cabin to be well stocked and very cozy for our family of 5. There are tons of instructions and labels everywhere, which makes things easy to find. They have all the essentials, even laundry detergent, which ended up being necessary due to unexpected events. The property manager was very communicative and checked in a couple of times on day one to make sure we had everything needed. The property is very quiet and peaceful. We loved that it was in a neighborhood that was also in the woods - it felt secluded and private but also there were others nearby if needed. The fireplace is very warm and is now gas-lit, so that was an unexpected plus. The beds are pretty firm but generally comfortable. It’s about a 45 minute drive to Yosemite Valley (without traffic). We would definitely stay again.
