Fantastic cabin for a visit - we enjoyed the location and the size of the cabin was awesome. Great conversation around the firepit or in the comfy family room when getting ready for the day. We'll be back again for sure !
Location was great and provided a great place to get to Jackson Hole (40 mins) and Grand Tetons (60 mins). Kids enjoyed playing out in the big yard. Will come back again next time we are in the area.
4 of my friends and I spent 6 nights at this place. It was well situated to fish a myriad of places: Grand Teton National Park, Gros Ventre, Hoback River, Flat Creek, Greys River. Cabin met all our needs. Perfect location. Thanks so much!
We had a great stay in the cabin. We were busy all day and only made it back to get some rest. And, it was exactly what we had hoped for. The nice cool air at night permeated the home and it was nice and cozy. Thanks for the respite!
We were very impressed with this property! It is older but it was like a walk down memory lane. Our family was very comfortable and we have never stayed in a better stocked property! Lots of useable kitchen items, plenty of towels and great items to occupy the kids. The swing was a special hit!! Thank you for sharing your home!

"The Best"
By far, the Alpine house has been the most comfortable, most accommodating, most equipped, and the most accessible place we have stayed the last 5 years. I'm a company project manager. A small part of my responsibility is to find a place for my employee's to stay for long periods of time. No doubt, the Alpine house out ranks any other place we have stayed the last 5 years. My remarks represent a company who has payed up to 6500.00 a month for a 4 bedroom house! No matter your expectations, you can't go wrong when you make your choice to stay here in Alpine.

Sadly we were disappointed. This property is run down and not maintained. The home was dirty when we arrived. Rubbish bins were not emptied. Bedding was stained. The single bedroom was not a bedroom, but instead a futon on the landing on the stairs with no bedding. We had to purchase our own. Windows did not open, showers did not work, there were items left behind from the previous guests. The fridge had not been cleaned. There was rubbish under the couches and the bathrooms had not been cleaned. The portable air conditioning unit was a makeshift job which needed to be jacked up in between a piece of wood and the open door. The gist was accomodating and pleasant to deal with but we would not choose to stay here again.

Our family came to Alpine for a wedding and stayed in this cabin for a week. The positives are the price and location, it is affordable (esp. compared to Jackson area) and the place is secluded yet only a few blocks from the highway. The area is beautiful with the nearby mountains and all the local activities available for families. However, the house is in need of significant repairs and upgrades. The stairs and porch are rickety, paint peeling off and some boards are loose/warped. There is only one portable AC unit on the first floor, so when it got to 90 outside, it was very warm in the house and took a while to cool down at night even with fans blowing - leaving doors and windows open worked somewhat, but some window had no screens and others had torn screens which let in bugs. One bedroom had a beach towel rigged up as a curtain, another has no windows, so no air circulation. The bathrooms were functional but the water pressure is variable and plumbing noise is quite noticeable. There is a cleaning fee but though the carpets were cleaned right before we arrived, the furniture had not been put back in place. Despite this we found bugs throughout the house and old food wrappers behind the sofa. The kitchen is functional but almost all the pots/pans and appliances appear to be from 20 years ago. We made the best of it.The outdoor lanai was nice but we had to clean it up ourselves to make it usable. Overall, I would say this place could be better with some attention
I was okay with the fact that the cabin wasn't the cleanest upon checkin, or that there were unwashed sheets with hair on them or the fact that a cockroach looks you in the eyes, every time that you open the kitchen cupboard. The fact that the overflow from the bathtub leaks directly into the kitchen was annoying, but didn't really affect me, it just causes damaged to the home. However, the bedbugs that we took home with us, are beyond frustrating. We had three different families staying in the cabin and several of us have bed bug bites all over our bodies and one of us actually found bed bugs in our suitcase.
The cabin is in a beautiful beautiful location and truthfully I could have overlooked everything else just because of the convenience of it and the beauty that surrounded it. However, I can't overlook bedbugs. The cabin is old and worn out and most of the time I brought issues up with the owners, I got the impression they were aware of the problems, but don't really intend to fix it. I would send pictures and they would tell me why I was wrong or how the cabin really was clean etc. It's a bummer because this could be SUCH a great place to rent.

First of all, we had an exterminator go in, a professional, and he verified that the bugs were from outside. They were NOT BEDBUGS. This was verified by a professional exterminator, not a lady who was asking for her money to be refunded, after staying the entire time. She was angry because we, upon the advice of VRBO, did not refund her money for her stay.
Please keep in mind that this was not brought up during their stay, there were no problems reported during the stay, only afterward when she wanted a refund.
The cabin has been sprayed for bugs. This happens as a result of having a cabin in the woods. We have had 3 different set of renters since she was there with no complaints.
The cabin is professionally cleaned between stays with all bedding washed, everything disinfected and cleaned. We've been renting for over 10 years and our renters have enjoyed the cabin so much that many of them return the next year.

The location was great it was centrally located between the resevoir and the river. It was just right amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for us. We had a few things that made it not so nice. One the railing around the deck has the boards so far apart a child could easily fall through. We had to keep a good eye on our 2 year old grand daughter every second. All that needs done is one or two more boards between the gap or some lattice sheets or something like that. Also their needs to be screens added to the sliding glass doors and the windows so could open them during the night to cool the place down. They had about 3 fans and a portable evap cooler that made it bearable during the days when we were there. Theri was plenty of parking for our vehicles. They state there is a loft with a futon, well that is just a large space at top of the stairs they put a futon it is not a loft in the sense it was meant to mean. We had to find this cabin at night and could not see color of cabin from road so would suggest a sign of some sort at end of driveway so at night would know that is the place. The place was very clean just had spiders but were small daddy long legs mostly. Think screens would help that. We woudl stay here again if the deck railings were fixed and safe for young children, or if we did not have any small ones with us, would not recommend this place to someone with children under 3. The lake and river were excellent, we had wave runners and was so smooth and perfect condtion to ride them. It was not far from the river either where we went rafting also.

This cabin is a very clean, well kept cabin. Rating of a 2 star is very inadequate. We take pride in the fact that many of our guests come each year and tell us how much they enjoy their stay!
Rustic Cabin, but well stocked with great location
The cabin was easy to find and has great views. The check in process was extremely easy. It is an older house and in need of some small repairs (towel bar was missing from downstairs bathroom and the grass near the stairs was overgrown). Plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen with all we needed for cooking meals. We were a large group, 7 adults and 2 kids, but we fit comfortably.
We had a minor issue during our stay and the owner responded quickly and was very helpful.
Excellent location, had a great stay, older home but knew that beforehand, kitchen well stocked, enough towels for our 12 people, had a great time playing in all the snow!

Why they chose this property
This area is located right in the middle of many fun places yet it is still private and very peaceful. It is a beautiful location.
What makes this property unique
We have enjoyed many family reunions with great memories. We have also enjoyed snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, bird watching, hunting, fishing, white water rafting, and just relaxing with a movie or book. It is a great place to spend time getting to know each other better as a family.
