The Ashford 1BR apartment in historic downtown

Located on the bricks in historic downtown Fairbury! The Ashford is a full suite with kitchen, onsite free laundry, free Wi-Fi, walk in shower, spacious living room, and comfy queen size bed. Conveniently located next to several restaurants, movie theatre, boutiques, specialty shops, and coffee shop. Fairbury is surrounded by incredible parks, bike and walking trails, and unique outdoor and historical adventures!

The Ashford is located right atop the stairs, to the left down the hallway and to your left through the doorway, if you enter the west entrance. Entry door on the street has the On The Bricks logo on the door so its super easy to find!

Free on the street parking. I suggest parking on E street and using the West entrance but there is a South entrance on 5th street that can also access your unit.

Historic downtown district is very charming and alot of dining and shopping, and coffee all within a quick walk.

The Ashford loft is not up to the standards typically followed in most VRBOs I’ve stayed in throughout the area. The space in the loft is very poorly laid out, the step up bathroom is on the opposite side of the loft, from the bedroom, the carpets need to replaced as they are worn out and appear to be dirty. The bedroom mattress and the bedding (pillows, sheets, mattress pad, etc.) are old and worn out. The electrical outlets are not conveniently located and appear to be outlets from years ago. Not necessarily safe as modern plug items hang out from the receptacle. Everything in this loft is outdated, old, and worn out. The bathtub shower combo is as old as the shower curtain and hard to balance temperature. The bathroom sink has hard to turn squeaky handles. Hot water takes forever. We stayed in a different room at this establishment during November of last year as well with the same issues. There have been no improvements. Albeit the building is very old and noisy, it could be at least clean, presentable and welcoming.

We love spending time with our family when we aren't working on properties. Fishing and any outdoor activities, reading, and watching sports.

The opportunity to find such a unique opportunity in such a wonderful community doesn't come around very often! The opportunity to bring great short term rentals as well as develop a premier event venue was something our community desperately needed! It would great service to have a place that offers full amenities when folks are in town for business, a wedding or special event, weekend getaway, or to visit family.
