Excellent stay, very relaxing close to town had everything you needed an more an more room then we needed great accommodation we will definitely stay there again.
We cannot say enough kind words about this rental. We have stayed at multiple VRBO's since our honeymoon 2+ decades ago, and this was by far the best experience yet!
We have rented this house the past 3 years over the July 4th weekend. The owner is friendly and the space is very comfortable. The A/C struggles to cool the upstairs but the rest of the comfort and amenities more than make up for that (and they provide fans to help mitigate the heat).
House is in a central location in walking distance of sugar house and Geauga County fairgrounds. Included all listed amenities. Restful stay and great jumping off point for local attractions and hiking. Definitely would stay here again.
This is not our first VRBO stay and by far was the best equipped. From linens to kitchen utensils. I came with everything i knew we would need but didnt need 3/4 of what i brought. We hosted friend & family gatherings & it was perfect. Thank you Turner family for this gem in good ol' Burton! I LOVE my hometown!
We are a family of 6 (kids aged 7-11) who stayed here with my in-laws and 2 other adult family members. We've stayed here before and it was exactly the same. Very comfortable beds and couches, a very well stocked and usable kitchen, and nice outdoor area.
Since we have kids in tow I'm always grateful to stay at homes that don't have a lot of decor or knicj-knacks that can get knocked over and broken.
Thank you for the lovely stay, just like last time!
There was pros and cons of this home.Pros: easy check in , great host communication, lots of room. We had 10 adults and 6 kids for dinner it rained and we had plenty of room inside to eat and visit. The house has everything you can think you might need. Twin bed in each of the front room with the queen beds so good for little ones.plenty of TVs and free WiffCon; no hot tub which is listed in the amenities ( host did say he would refund 100 dollars for the inconvenience)Con; so much stuff ever space is jam packed full.Long list of to do when you leave it said I was to strip the beds collect the towels start the laundry ( which had clothes in the washer and dryer I had to take care of first) and run the dishwasher Make sure all the multiple remotes are replaced where you found them. I have stayed in many Airbnb and never had to do all this.Overall it depends on what you want to use this home for. Lots of rooms lots of beds great space for a lot of people but was cluttered
Our stay at Simba's House was ideal for each of our five nights there. The house is simply lovely, a blend of old charm and modern convenience, and perfectly clean. Three bedrooms, with beds for eight people made it perfect for our family. The house features an extremely well equipped kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms on each floor. Plenty of linens are available, including towels, extra blankets (which we didn't need as it was July), and paper supplies, as well as body wash, shampoo, and hand, dish, and laundry soaps. The front porch has a delightful porch swing which looks out onto the village green and gazebo. Out back, there is a sizable deck and grill. Numerous camp chairs and BBQ equipment are available for outdoor enjoyment. The house is so well equipped, a guest needs to bring very little for an enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic with some good restaurants and a wonderful coffee shop within a couple minutes walk. More restaurants, a grocery store, and other attractions are short drives away. Finally, the owner is super quick in responding to messages and is wonderful to work with. We have a son and daughter-in-law in the area so we will be back and Simba's House will be our #1 choice for lodging. Fingers crossed it will be available whenever we need it!
I am a wedding consultant and florist. I was staying in Burton for a wedding I was doing at Sun Valley Event Center in Chagrin Falls, OH. The host provides almost everything you can think of. All kitchen cupboards are labeled so it is easy to find items. They have spices for cooking, some condiments in fridge, ice maker, K-cup coffee from I believe the coffee store in town. There is a Walmart about 15-20 min from Burton so, when you need to get grocery’s, you don’t have to travel that far. Nice large deck, (just wish it had a handrail) I have bad knees and sometimes going up and down steps it’s a little bit difficult but, I did it. The back yard, I was surprised to see a fence along just one side of the yard which made it so much easier for our dog to play in the yard when we went outside. There is no fence in the way back or on the driveway side. If you bring a dog that likes to wounder off bring a leash. The host Brian was very easy to get a hold of and answered all my questions. If you’re looking for a house that has room for everyone, this is the house. Downstairs you will find a very large kitchen with eat in area, dinning room, family room, living room, and a room like an office/play room for kids with a sofa sleeper, bathroom with walk in shower, and laundry room. All these rooms are connected like a circle, my dog had fun just going around from room to room. Upstairs, you have 2 very large bedrooms and one that has a twin bed in it. Bathroom upstairs is very large and is furnished with bath items. For the price of renting this home, it is well worth it.
I was traveling with my elderly parents and this house was perfect for them. Bedroom on 1st floor with a bathroom connected was great!! I will definitely be renting this house again if in the area.
I loved the location of the house! We were right on the square. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee house. Brian the owner was very helpful and got back to me right away!
Enjoyed our stay at the rental. It is well equipped. Lots of extras like spices, coffee pods, umbella, etc (too many to list). Loved walking around town. We rented in my home town which allowed us to visit with family, but have place to relax & unwind.
Our experience was great. The hosts had excellent communication, were very generous after a tiny check in issue, and allowed us an extra concession over and beyond what we expected. The house was large and accommodating for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked with every item you could need for meal prepping (your knives were even sharper than mine!) Thank you for a wonderful stay! We hope to stay again next time we're in town visiting family.
This is our new go to place in Burton. So much room and great for larger groups. They have thought of everything! Fully stocked kitchen, laundry bathrooms you name it.
Good experience overall, and a very pleasant location. Snow storm and extreme cold hindered further exploration, but could see much potential near the center of thus small Ohio town. Frankly, we were a little annoyed at the to do list on the check-out instructions that we're not used to seeing. "Strip all beds and gather together near laundry room. Gather all dirty linens, then load them in washer and run. Load the dishwasher and run it." Seemed a little over the top, while also paying a cleaning fee. We did it, though. We enjoyed our stay, and it accommodated our group well. We did have a terrible accident in the home when our 8 months pregnant daughter slipped and fell on the stairs, badly breaking both bones of her lower leg. Quite traumatic, but the ambulance came quickly, despite the horrible roads, and the patient is recovering (slowly and painfully) following surgery.

Thank you for the response and so sorry to hear about your daughter. We live a long distance from the home and unfortunately need assistance at the end of the stay to make cleaning the home practical. We appreciate the feedback.
