Fantastic comfortable u. cozy apartment in the heart of the Black Forest

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not fully meet your expectations, but we would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The booking was made with less than 24 hours’ notice. From the very beginning, we informed our guests that the sauna was temporarily unavailable due to renovation work. We deliberately scheduled this work during the height of summer – with temperatures around 39°C – as we felt this would be the least disruptive time of year. The renovation also explains the temporary presence of materials mentioned in the review. Regarding parking, the spaces are of standard European dimensions. We appreciate that a large US pickup truck naturally has considerably less room in a typical European parking space than a regular-sized vehicle. There also seems to be a misunderstanding regarding the additional night and the refund. As compensation for the inconvenience, we offered a choice between a refund or accommodation including breakfast at a luxury wellness hotel in the Black Forest. The hotel option was chosen and provided accordingly, which is why no additional refund was issued. We always strive to make our guests feel welcome and to find a good solution whenever an unexpected situation arises. Naturally, no accommodation will suit every guest equally, but we are very grateful that the many other reviews here refflect the experiences of the vast majority of our guests.
