What makes this property unique
Lovely house on beautiful shorefront property on Western side of MDI. This 5 acre property has gently sloping fields to a wonderful cobblestone beach with private deep water granite pier and dock. The first floor has a kitchen, bathroom, dining room living room, office and reading parlor. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms. The master has a double futon and the 2 smaller bedrooms have each have 2 twin beds. A new kitchen has just been installed.
The beach is perfect for private lobster bakes, shelling and searching for sea glass or simply enjoying the incredible sunsets. The 150' pier with 24' floating dock will accommodate your boating activities along with a mooring suitable for a 50' vessel. The area is ideally suited for kayaking and sailing in the protected reaches of Blue Hill Bay.
The Southwestern exposure provides incredible views towards Swans Island and the outer reaches of Blue Hill Bay.
The villages of Bass Harbor and Bernard are approximately 1 mile away. There's great hiking along the shore or in the nearby National Park. An easy walk to the nearby bus stop provides free bus service throughout the island. The location is truly amazing and must be seen to be appreciated.
