Underwhelmed and Disappointed
I want to say I have toiled over this submission. Never have I left a negative review in my history with VRBO. This property is in the best neighborhood/location on 30A, in which we’ve been visiting for 22 yrs. We chose this home for the location and the advertised 3rd floor outdoor living area with TV (didn’t work & waited 6 days for replacement), kitchen, & pool table. I will say the property manager, Eileen O’Sullivan, is the only reason we stayed our entire 10-night vacation. Upon arrival, the 2nd floor AC was out. Home owners were notified by the previous renters & still wasn’t resolved. We spent 2 nights with the temp registering at 78 degrees. We contacted the home owner and stayed on a conference call with them over 45 min. while they had us changing out filters, going back-and-forth between floors & reading meters, but to no avail. Eileen, brought over 2 temporary window units we used the remaining 8 nights, only cooling 2 of the 3 rooms. Service tech sent & needed to order a replacement part. Asked homeowner for updates and waited 3 days before any response. Meanwhile, Eileen checked on us multiple times/day. Homeowner cameras watched us at the entrance & 3rd floor. Bikes needed repair. I got the most unprofessional & hateful texts from homeowner, ones I’m more than happy to produce. We paid top-dollar for this rental & it’s apparent the homeowners lack civility/hospitality, both of which are non-negotiable in this industry. Don’t waste your hard-earned money
