About this property
Maison de charme ancienne entre Lacs et Rhône
## Space
Inhabited by monks until the Revolution and after having had various uses, including the breeding of silkworms of which there are still some period nails in the beams, this charming old house was bought by the great-great-grandfather of the current owners in 1878 and has been partially renovated in recent decades.
As for the decoration, stone and solid wood dominate here, with country and stylish furniture, old paintings and old family portraits. You will be charmed by the blue zelliges on the ground floor and the beautiful original framework of the dormitory on the 2nd floor.
In terms of layout, you will enter a large living room with
=> lounge area with bench, armchairs, coffee table, large bookcases and fireplace
=> dining area with extendable table and chairs
=> a desk, a television with TNT and a DVD player complete the equipment
The adjoining kitchen has been renovated and contains all the useful and essential equipment (oven and microwave, fridge-freezer, hob, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, toaster, kettle, crockery and utensils) and a dining table with chairs
You will also find on the ground floor a bathroom with bath-shower and double sink as well as a separate toilet.
Access to the upper floor is via a wide staircase.
On the 1st floor (where only the parquet floors and the bathroom have been renovated), you will have:
- 3 bedrooms each with a double bed (140x190cm)
- A bathroom with large shower and sink
- Independent toilets
You will access the 2nd floor via a wooden staircase and enter a large dormitory/games room that has been completely renovated. Here, under the beautiful original framework, you will find 4 single beds (2 of 90x190cm and 2 of 80x190cm), a table football, a small living room and board games. The windows have small roller blinds that are not totally blackout.
Outside, in this large wooded park, you will find 2 terraces:
- one with stone table and parasol
- the other, in the shade of the large plane tree with plastic table and chairs
A charcoal barbecue and 2 deckchairs are also at your disposal.
You can park up to a maximum of 4 cars.
Important notes:
- NO WIFI
- AIR CONDITIONING in all bedrooms
- Washing machine available
- SHEETS and TOWELS can be provided ON ADVANCE REQUEST (12€ per person per stay)
- Check-in and check-out times can be flexible (on request) except in case of cross-arrival and departure.

## Neighborhood
The exceptional geographical setting of the region, at the crossroads of the Rhône, the Alps and the Jura massif, will allow you to discover sumptuous landscapes between hills, vineyards, mountains, lakes, castles and rivers.
The location benefits from a privileged location, close to the lakes of Le Bourget (largest natural lake in France – 20 minutes by car) and Aiguebelette (30 minutes by car), which offer various activities such as swimming, beach, kayaking, paddle, sailing, windsurfing, boating, fishing, kite surfing, diving and games for the little ones (inflatable structures, trampoline, tree climbing).
You have quick access to many hiking trails of all levels, the lakes of Saint-Jean-de-Chevelu, the Savoy vineyard circuit and its tastings, in the heart of the Jongieux cru.
Via ferrata, bouldering and climbing routes on the surrounding cliffs, canoeing/kayaking on the Rhône, the Balme gorges or on the Chanaz canal, canyoning and bike and mountain bike rentals are available nearby (10 minutes by car).
A 5-minute drive away, the town of Yenne offers local shops, restaurants, bistros, cafes, ice cream parlours, florists and much more.
Further afield (35 minutes by car), the cities of Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains and Annecy (1 hour by car) will allow you to discover the Savoyard and Haute-Savoyard cities, their lively markets, architecture, cinemas, theaters and famous thermal baths.
