Three generations and a couple Aunts for good measure. Good space on the end of the road, so no noise or traffic. Easy little drive to Deadwood. Well equipped.

Its a good location to check out all the sites. The home is large. There were 7 of us and had room for more. Furniture and home are true to the pictures. My only complaint was the cleanliness. Could have been much better. The grill, garage, dusty floors and sheets from previous guest left in the dryer. Nothing major.
The clubhouse was having work done so it was a mess, but we still had fun there. We love South Dakota and would recommend it for others to stay❤️

Sue, thank you for your feedback and for staying with us! We are sorry for the cleanliness and will be letting the cleaners know of this. We hope your trip to The Black Hills was memorable and that you were able to relax at your home away from home. We look forward to hosting you again!
The house is nice and is as described in the listing. It needs a little maintenance, nothing major just little this that would enhance a stay. The door from the kitchen to the deck is almost impossible to open, the TV in the list is not connected to cable (only a DVR) and the fire pit does not stay lit. It stays on only as long as you holds the button. (Probably needs a new thermocouple). The interior is nicely furnished but all the rooms are dark and the ceilings are painted to match the walls (brick red ceilings are not reflective)
We had a great time and will be a little more careful the next time we book a house

Hi Ken, thank you for staying with us at Foote Creek Lodge. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to host you again!
Fantastic place for family and or friends. Wonderful beds and so peaceful for sleeping. Kitchen space was a great space. Don’t forget that if you need anything to contact the property manager. We replaced light bulbs and needed a propane tank in the fireplace. When mentioned this in our departure it was stated they would have been very happy to make sure things were taken care of.
We planned a last minute getaway to explore the Black Hills and relax. The cabin was great and in the best location for us. I loved how the cabin was located at the end of the development and back from the street a bit. It made it feel more private. Loved having a garage too which made it easy to feel all alone in the woods. The cabin is just gorgeous and very functional. We made use of the two decks each morning and evening. Both decks were furnished very nicely. Also, the clubhouse was really cool, with pool and hot tub. It would be a great hangout for larger families with kids who like to swim. We did have a few minor things come up when we were there. First, several lightbulbs were burned out. when we checked in. Just a little thing but, it seems that would be checked when the cabin is cleaned between guests. Unfortunately, the grill did not work. We would like to thank Jonna, the property manager, however for going above and beyond to try and accommodate our need for a grill. It was ridiculously hot during our stay and while the AC worked great, the upstairs bedroom was always too warm for this gal who sleeps hot. There was a fan that did help though. Overall, it was a great stay and even with the minor things I mentioned, I would consider staying in this beautiful "cabin in the woods" again.
