The location/apartment was beautiful once inside. However, the building itself smelled strongly of animal urine. The listing mentioned there was no elevator, but the stairs themselves were treacherous, particularly when dragging luggage up them.
There was a night club or something next door which hosted people all hours of the night which was loud and could keep you awake. There was no mention of this in the listing.
The listing indicated that free wi-fi was included, which was a major factor for me in booking as I must frequently monitor work email and tasks which may be time-sensitive. When I contacted the host, (whose correspondence was never timely), I was informed wi-fi was not included. The explanation I was given was that the VRBO listing was outdated and was not frequently monitored or maintained. I had to rely on my hotspot for internet connection and - even with the best international travel package - I maxed out my high-speed data each day and was reduced to slower connection speeds which considerably slowed my ability to use my phone or computer.
The hostess was generally unsympathetic, despite the false and misleading details she had provided. She was only willing to offer a minor resolution that did not offset the huge inconvenience experienced over three days and four nights.
Finally, there is no AC at this location and - despite >80F temps, only one small fan was provided by the hostess.
