Comfortable, Spacious Home with Pool and One Block to Delaware Bay!

Welcome to the Junebug Cottage, our comfortable and spacious 3-bedroom home located one block from the Delaware Bay! Our home is located on a quiet residential street where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of crowds while still being close enough to partake in the area's many attractions and activities. Enjoy your morning coffee while relaxing on the covered front porch, sip your evening cocktails on the cozy screened-in rear porch, or take a dip in the above-ground heated pool, located right off of the rear deck. Additionally, the very best part of the home is the short walk to the beautiful bay where you can experience spectacular sunsets every evening.

Our home features a large open living space perfect for family and group gatherings and relaxation at its finest. First floor includes living room, with large flat-screen TV and many family games available for your use, an open dining area, and spacious well-stocked kitchen. There is a half bath and full laundry with washer and dryer on first floor as well. The second floor has three large bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a king-sized bed. The master bedroom includes a king-sized bed and a private bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has one queen with twin/trundle. The third bedroom also has a queen with twin daybed. There is also a second full bathroom with shower/tub on this floor. The outdoor space includes a screened-in porch, accessible from the dining area with ample seating for the entire group. There is an open deck located off of the screened porch that leads to the above-ground pool. Additionally, a Polywood dining set, gas grill, and gas firepit with Adirondack chairs are located on the patio, all surrounded by a fully fenced backyard. There is central air throughout and all bedrooms also have ceiling fans for additional comfort. Linens and towels included during your stay. Three kayaks and four bikes available for your use. Please note there are Ring Cameras on the property, located at front door, rear, and side yards.

Enjoy the serenity and privacy of the Delaware bay beach or head into Cape May or Wildwood, both a short 15-minute drive away. We are happy to provide recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. We look forward to hosting you soon!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Place all linens and towels, including coverlets and pillow shams, in the provided laundry bags, found in the closets. Place bags by the front door. Do not remove the mattress or pillow protectors.
Please clean up any and all pet waste from the property and place in trash cans.
Don't forget to return the house keys to the hook by the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Pets must be crated when alone in the home. Pets are not permitted on the furniture. Additional pet fee for 2nd dog.
Primary booking guest must provide valid drivers license at time of booking.
Due to insurance restrictions, owner will impose certain breed restrictions (i.e. pit bull, rottweiler, doberman, etc). Breeds verified at booking.

Perfect for a family getaway

This was our second stay and it’s perfect for a family getaway . A short drive could get you right into cape may and you can walk right to the bay side to see the sunset .

The host, Rob, was very communicative and responsive which made everything smooth and easy. The house is nicer than the pictures make it seem. Very spacious and comfortable with thoughtful touches. The neighborhood is quaint and the public bayfront just around the block is beautiful at sunset, high tide. A very nice stay!

Short Reunion

The house is well maintained, clean and very cozy. There are plenty of beds for a large party. We loved the screened back porch where we spent most of our mornings having coffee and tea and chatting with friends. Cape May and wildwood beach are within a 20 minutes drive. The house was perfect for our reunion. Rob, the host, is very helpful and responsive to our needs.

Best family vacation

This home met all of our expectations and more. It was very clean with beautiful decor. We felt right at home. Our family truly enjoyed our stay especially the early mornings and late nights on the screened in porch out back. The children's puzzles were really nice to enjoy family time around the table. Being able to use the beach chairs, wagon and umbrella that were available for use made for more room in our vehicle to pack other necessities. Rob the owner was always available for questions and so nice to work with. We can't wait to go back next year!

Perfect for our gathering

We rented this to have a place where we could celebrate my brother in laws 75th birthday he and his daughter live in Berlin NJ and we drove up from SC we wanted to be close to Cape May for all of the activities there and the Wildwood board walk and enjoy the dog friendly beach that we walked to with his and our dogs. The weather didn’t cooperate but that didn’t stop us from having a great time the house had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay, huge bedrooms, fenced back yard for the dogs, and convenient to everything.

A most wonderful place like a home!

Overall the place was FANTASTIC! The pictures absolutely DO NOT do it any justice. It is bigger and better than what we had expected. The living space below was large, the bedrooms were spacious, the lanai (screened sun-room?) was perfect - as was the deck. Our pet (a 12 week old Golden Retriever) was able to make himself at home on the shelf of the center table in the lanai! Kids loved it - all the supplies were there, and the garage had beach stuff that we were able to take to the beach and use. Including a couple of umbrellas and many chairs! There were 9 of us and our pet. Loved every minute we spent there and would love to go there again. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Just what we needed

The house is as photoed and very comfortable. It was extremely clean and well laid out. Just about anything you needed was there. The screened-in porch was especially nice . It was a little farther than the main area of Cape May then expected being a 20 minute drive. But only a 15-minute drive from the boardwalk of Wildwood and a 10 minute drive from several large supermarkets and shops. So if you're not interested in daily beach excursions it is very well situated to get to a variety of areas to visit. The only downside was the Bay that is just a few short blocks from the house was not suitable for use. Something we had not anticipated. There is a really nice preschool playground a short 10 minute walk. All in all it was a very relaxing and easy two weeks. The owner was always available and very helpful.

Beautiful Sunsets

Gorgeous house, beautifully decorated, very clean with well stocked kitchen. Pictures don’t do it justice. Screened in back porch was a bit hit with whole family. Spent many hours there having morning coffee and playing games. Very quiet neighborhood close to bay and beautiful sunsets. All the comforts of home. Would surely stay there again.

Everything was perfect from initial booking. Owner was amazing and on point with communication, which was beyond appreciated! Home is beautiful, immaculate, beautiful decor and screened in porch! Beautiful stay on the bay!

My girlfriends and I had a lovely time at Junebug cottage, though based on the size I would say it's much more than a cottage! Our favorite part was the screen porch. The Delaware bay was right down the street and beaches were accessible 10 min away. Rob was a fantastic communicator and gave us great recommendations for the area. Highly recommend staying here.

Del Haven, located just north of the Villas, is one of New Jersey's best-kept secrets. The quiet residential area is relaxing, the neighbors are friendly, and the surrounding bay and wetlands creates an environment that supports a variety of wildlife, including migratory birds and marine species. We enjoy our walks on the bay to watch the sunset, look for horseshoe crabs, and search for Cape May diamonds,

What makes this property unique

We bought our home because we love this area and wanted to continue to vacation here for many years to come. We aim to provide a place where families can create memories, share quality time together, and hopefully relax and unplug from the craziness of everyday life. That being said, our home is not managed by an agency or realty group.
