It was very clean, peaceful and a beautiful view! Unable to use lake and amenities as it was too cold obviously but wouldn’t mind booking it again for the summer!

Thank you for your very kind review! We'd love to host you in the summer!
We had a wonderful week at this very clean, nice house. Enjoyed the kayaks, fishing off the dock, grilling and fires at the firepit. Nice golf courses and parks in the area! Fantastic time for our family!
We enjoyed our stay on Nyona Lake! The property was very nice. Lots of space and very comfortable. The outdoor space was nice too. We enjoyed a kayak ride on the lake, and took a bike ride on nearby Nickel Plate Trail.
We had a wonderful time staying at this home. It was immaculate and had everything we wanted to enjoy the weekend. The bbq, fire pit, games, and comfy beds made for a great weekend amongst friends.....thank you so much! We will be back!
Really nice property and enjoyed it. Only downside was the pier had been damaged and wasn’t repaired yet when we got there, but we made do and had a great experience.
Rural lake with relaxing sleepy town. Fishing was okay from the dock, however we are spoiled in Minnesota so it's hard to compare. Kayaks were fun and cabin was clean. Great spot!
The property is exactly as advertised, very nice, beautiful backyard, right on the water, very quiet neighborhood. The host was easy to communicate with, and made check-in very simple. We hope to return, as we had a great time.
Great place! Easy check in. Hardly left the dock the entire time. Neighbors were super nice. Had Mike’s pizza when we got in and frequented the bait shop for ice! Just what we needed. Nick was a great host!
My grandchildren wanted a beach area and easy access to the water and this property was great for that. The aerator on the dock really helps minimize the algae and the mud mats help too. The house stayed cool even though everyday was in the 90 s.

Thank you for your review! We really try to keep the algae away with the aerator, muck mats, and removing weeds diligently. It's difficult sometimes with storms and change of weather but we're glad it was clear for you and your family.
Property was exactly what we were looking for. We rented a pontoon boat, which was very easy from a company suggested by the property owner. Kitchen made it very easy to cook our meals. Plenty of seating to eat together as a family. Eight adults and one child slept comfortably. We really enjoyed our weekend away!
This little home is a jewel. It was perfect for our time in Rochester, and everyone enjoyed our stay. The area is beatiful, with the lake frozen. We all have said we should make a summer trip also. Thanks for the hospitality. Very quick getting back with us on questions.
We loved staying at this house! It has everything you could possibly want and more. We used the games, bbq, and fire pit.........all were wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and the house was immaculate. The owner was also very prompt with answers to our questions. We will definitely be back when the weather gets warm. Thank you!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
likely a 1-off - but still a terrible experience
The bad review is due to not having any water at all, and unable to stay there have not been able to resolve a refund.
Place is nice though. Would not recommend it if the owner is not going to be in town - there is no support if something goes wrong.

Guest booked 12/23 - 12/26. The guest reached out to me 3 days prior to her stay inquiring about cancelling and receiving a refund due to weather. She did not purchase insurance which would have provided a full refund. I notified her that she was out of the cancellation window. She did not spend the night 12/23 and checked in during the morning of 12/24. Late in the evening of 12/24, the guest called and told me the water wasn't working and that they'd b be checking out in the morning and wanted a refund with all VRBO fees reimbursed. I reached out to several plumbers but no one was available on Christmas Eve at 10pm and Christmas day. I had a plumber scheduled for 12/26. I arrived on 12/26 and the water was working with no issues. I question if the water ever stopped working at all or the guest was looking for a free stay and refund.
Beautiful well maintained home with all the amenities you needed. Plenty of towels provided which is nice. My kids liked the games and kids toys that were provided also. Now for some honesty, the beach/ lake was not as expected. We did not do any swimming. Upon check in the host informs you of “mud mats” he has down on the bottom of the lake to avoid sinking in the mud. The beach area is nice but the water not so much. Covered in algy/ weeds. We were anticipating being able to swim right from the sand, but that was not the case! My kids wanted nothing to do with it since it was so gross. I don’t for-see many kids wanting to swim in it. So if your looking for a lake house that’s peaceful and well maintained with no swimming, this is the place for you. Also note that the air does not keep up when it is hot out. Our trip was in the middle of the July, when we checked in the house was 74 even though it was set to 72. It continued to rise through the day to 76. The next day was the same. I wish pictures could be posted to show what the swimming area actually looks like. The home owner is trying between the mud mats and filtration in the water to keep some of the weeds at bay, but I think maybe the listing should reflect that. Overall beautiful home

Thank you for your review. I apologize that the water wasn't clear for swimming during your stay. Most of summer the water from the beach is very swimmable and clear. Unfortunately, there are times that algae comes into the area and the aerator isn't able to clear out. Usually rotating the direction that the aerator is blowing will clear it out. Any future issues, I request that I'm contacted to help troubleshoot so that I can help you enjoy your stay to the fullest.
We enjoyed our stay and the amenities provided, kayak, firepit and paddle boat. Even though it was chili due to the month of our stay, we had a peaceful and lovely experience. The house was very clean and roomy.
