Welcome to Hidden Hideaway!

Situated in a secluded, wooded mountain community, Hidden Hideaway is about 12 miles from downtown Blowing Rock, just East of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This quiet mountain cabin has year-round mountain views in a peaceful setting where you can enjoy slowing down and gathering with friends and family. Hidden Hideaway is a three (3) bedroom, three and a half (3.5) bath with a total of five (5) sleeping areas, accommodating up to thirteen (13) guests. The house features a wrap-around covered deck with a new hot tub and gas grill. The lower-level playroom will be a hit with kids and grown-ups alike.

Step into a tasteful mountain cabin living room with a stacked stone gas log fireplace, large TV, and ample comfortable seating. Guests will enjoy the open, pleasant main-level living space as a place to gather and relax. The warm wood floors and tongue-and-groove ceiling throughout give a feel of modern mountain living. The living room windows provide ample light, and the glass doors lead out to the wrap-around covered porch, where you will find various seating arrangements, a new hot tub, and a corn hole game. Enjoy taking in the morning or grilling on the gas grill and breathing in the fresh mountain air. The kitchen is adjacent to the living room and well stocked with plenty of cupboard and drawer space, updated appliances, and a dining area with seating for six (6). There is also a half bath and spacious laundry room on the main floor.

The main floor features a comfortable king master suite with a large TV and private bathroom. A small sleeping nook with a twin-size cot and window is through the bathroom. The private bathroom has a sink, vanity area, and step-in tub shower combo. Up the beautiful wooden stairs from the living room is a delightful open loft with two double beds, A-frame windows, and a private bathroom with shelving and a step-in shower. The lower level of the home features a king bedroom with a TV and a queen bedroom with a TV. Both rooms are thoughtfully decorated with comfortable beds, pillows, and blankets.

The playroom in the lower level is sure to delight with a mini-climbing wall which can be climbed over to a rope ladder and knotted climbing rope on the opposite side, an air hockey table, and a twin bunk bed with a ladder and a slide. Kids are guaranteed to have a blast in this well-thought-out play area. There is also a couch and propane fireplace in this fantastic fun room. Step through the door to the lower-level, covered deck complete with a kids' swing. The lower level has a unique shared bathroom with high windows for natural light, a curved sink counter, and a step-in tub shower combo.

Hidden Hideaway offers central air conditioning, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi and a DVD player, and 4 TVs with cable or satellite programming to ensure your stay is comfortable and entertaining. The satellite internet does not support streaming or video calls. Enjoy an outdoor fire in the raised wood-burning fire pit in front of the covered porch entrance, with four (4) steps up back to the deck. This cabin is pet-friendly for up to two (2) dogs. The gravel driveway will accommodate up to four (4) cars.

The drive is 3-miles on a state-maintained curvy, gravel mountain road.

Do not recommend!!
From the first interaction with the rental company this trip was extremely disappointing. The condition of the home was poor. Appliances were very dirty, broken family room furniture held up with wood blocks, dirty windows, all tubs would not drain properly and filled up past ankles while showering. The family room fireplace would not work. Outdoor "fire pit" was a low grade backyard fire pit with 2 chairs, one of which was broken. Not even one towel per person, the access to additional towels was padlocked in a closet. For a home of this price and one that is suppose to accommodate a larger amount of guests this experience was less than desirable and I would not recommend this rental company or this home to anyone.
